Stupid or wed to the notion that everyone else is an idiot?

Peter LaBarbera
Peter LaBarbera - "Voila! Irrefutable logic."

Hate group leader (and all-around douchebag) Peter LaBarbera actually paid for a press release at Christian Newswire believing that he can influence voter turnout. The title of this bit of genius reads: Nancy Pelosi Promises Radical LGBTQ 'Equality Act' if Democrats Win House, While GOP Candidates Self-Censor on Homosexual Agenda. Pete likes long titles.
Nancy Pelosi
The most dangerous legislation ever to come out of the revolutionary "gay" activist movement – the federal "Equality Act," which proposes adding "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" as protected classes in the Civil Rights code – hangs in the balance as Americans go to the polls today.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) promised that if the Democrat Party wins back the House and she becomes Speaker Pelosi, a top priority will be passing the Equality Act, which now has 198 co-sponsors in the House, all but two of them Democrats.
Actually the most dangerous thing was including religion in the 1964 act. Presumably that was a reaction to the extensive anti-Semitism that existed at the time.

More importantly, the last time I checked, to be enacted legislation requires the approval of both houses of Congress and then the signature of the president. I do not know why the House would engage in an exercise in futility. They might but the Equality Act has no chance of being enacted.

Don't get me wrong. The Equality Act should be passed. However, LaBarbera is a liar when he says that the legislation “hangs in the balance as Americans go to the polls today.” Were that only true.
Behold
Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org) president Peter LaBarbera has renamed the Equality Act the "Criminalizing Christianity Act" and called it a "gay and transgender lawyers' dream bill." It would effectively criminalize traditional morality and undermine religious liberty by punishing Americans for living out their conscience on issues like unnatural homosexual "marriage" ceremonies and taxpayer funding of grotesque transsexual "sex-reassignment surgeries" (masquerading as "health care").
I am particularly fond of the part where Pete asserts his expertise in medical science. LaBarbera's tax and budget erudition is equally stellar.
Sophistry from Ryan T. Anderson
In an excellent article summarizing the Equality Act, Heritage Foundation scholar Ryan Anderson writes, "By making 'gender identity' a protected class, the government would force Americans to embrace transgender ideology in a variety of settings...elevating "gender identity" to a protected class across our federal antidiscrimination laws could impose a nationwide transgender bathroom policy, a nationwide pronoun policy, a nationwide sex-reassignment health care mandate...."
Anderson's scholarship is generally limited to the catechism of the Catholic Church. I hate to be the one to tell Ryan T. but where does he think transgender men and women having been peeing for decades? No one dies.

“Pronoun policy?” AYFKM? In cities and states where gender identity is a protected class, is there a pronoun policy?

“Bathroom laws” are an invention of the extreme religious right. They are used as a supposedly secular argument to support their religious disapproval of trans people.
On GOPers
And yet, "Republican candidates and conservative alternative media are mostly silent on the homosexual agenda, following the lead of the reflexively liberal 'mainstream' media, whose love of all things LGBTQ is eclipsed only by their hatred of Donald Trump," he said.

LaBarbera said too many Republicans are petrified of the vocal LGBTQ Lobby …
Note that LaBarbera wrote text referring to himself in the third person. Apparently LaBarbera expects everyone else to be a bigoted religious zealot obsessed with the sexuality of other people.
Poor Us
"While social media corporation's liberal censorship is a huge problem, conservatives' SELF-censorship is a bigger problem," LaBarbera said.
Yes Pete. Sane people are not proud to display their bigotry. By the way, it would be “corporations'” unless there is only one.
In the days leading up to today's election, LaBarbera has been interviewed by several Christian media outlets to discuss the LGBTQ election blitz and Republicans' sexual morality self-censorship, including: AFA's "One News Now," AFR's "Janet Mefferd Live," VCY America's "Crosstalk" and AFA of Pennsylvania's radio talk show.
According to David Cary Hart
“Peter LaBarbera is a welcome guest at hate group venues.”
