Who writes this crap for Family Policy Alliance?

“This is just rank bigotry.”

Family Policy Alliance is, in reality, an affiliate of Focus on the Family. Most of the board members are employees or associated with Focus on the Family and the organization occupies space adjacent to Focus on the Family. (It might actually be on Focus' campus.)

FPA is a relatively small organization with fewer than 20 employees. Therefore, I will blame its president, Paul Weber for: What’s Next on the Transgender Front? Here’s a Stunning List. No other author is identified. Is someone ashamed of their bigotry? Weber, by the way, is a former employee of Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-LGBT hate group.

Here is the stunning list, one item at a time:
Yes, the bathroom debate continues, and for good reason. A young girl in kindergarten was recently assaulted after a Georgia school allowed elementary school boys, who claim to have a transgender identity, into the girls’ bathroom.
This is hyperbole. The school determined that the alleged assault was concocted by the girl's mother after learning that there was a gender nonconforming student in the school. The likelihood is that the alleged assaulter is also a kindergarten student. This bathroom nonsense is simply a way for Christians who do not approve of transgender people on religious grounds to attack the transgender community.
Adult Entertainment in Libraries. Libraries (and now schools) across the country have started to allow drag queens – adult entertainment – to groom our young children through children’s story time.
Drag queens are entertainers who might or might not be transgender. I have written about Drag Queen Story Hour several times. Kids love it and it gets them to read books while attracting people to the library. Unlike Mr. Weber, the children are adept at figuring it out.

Grooming” is a loaded word. It is what pedophiles do to reduce a child's inhibitions. Does Mr. Weber presume that a drag queen reading stories to a child presents that kind of threat to the child's well-being? If so and if he is a parent then his children are going to be neurotic basket cases.
Secret Information. The New Jersey Department of Education has directed schools to keep vital information about a child’s gender identity secret from parents. If a parent has a disagreement with their child’s gender identity, school staff are urged to review information on reporting child abuse.
Children have an absolute right to privacy. These rules are set up to encourage children to seek counseling, when necessary, from school personnel without fear of parental retribution. And, yes, Mr. Weber, parents who do not approve of a child's sexuality may very well be guilty of child abuse. Religion is a fantasy based on faith. Gender is a scientific reality based on evidence.
Forced Intimate Services. A transgender-identifying man has sued a women’s spa in Massachusetts because it declined to give him a wax of his private areas. Radical leftists see no problem using the courts to force a female employee to provide intimate services to a man.
I do not know who these “radical leftists” are. Nor do I know how Mr. Weber can read their minds. Presumably these are not the attorneys for the plaintiff in the alleged lawsuit. I do not know the facts and neither does Weber. What I do know is that the actions of one individual are not indicative of group behavior. Does Mr. Weber want to be defined by Timothy McVeigh?
Erasing Criminal Records. At least one man has sued to get a court to erase his criminal record because the law he was convicted under only applied to men. This man, now living life as a woman, has argued his criminal conviction “outs” him and is therefore unfair and discriminatory.
Like the intimate service paragraph above, Weber provides no evidence. Not even a web link or a name that can be researched. For that matter the success of that suit (which seems unlikely) is an important part of this narrative. How did she fare? Also, like the above paragraph, the actions of one person do not predict or depict those of a group.
Saving Money on Insurance. At least one man has admitted to lying – claiming to be a transgender female – so that he could save money on car insurance.
Again, this demonstrates just how pathetic the arguments are. If the guy admitted to lying then he probably did not get the discount and the fact that one person claimed to be transgender has absolutely nothing to do with people who are transgender.

Not one of the “be afraid” arguments has any connection to reality. Are we supposed to be afraid because some schmuck claims to be transgender when he is not or because of two possibly meritless lawsuits by two irrelevant people? Are we supposed to be afraid because of bathrooms?

Where does Mr. Weber think trans women have been peeing over decades? Can he cite one instance where a transgender woman harmed another woman in a public bathroom? Oh, I know. It's about privacy. Are people waving dicks and tits around in public bathrooms lately? Is this a new phenomenon?

Weber continues:
Thankfully, this radical agenda is getting pushback – particularly from President Trump and his administration. In less than two years, leaders in the Administration have rolled back Obama-era policies in these important areas:
Does this guy really believe that Trump cares about anything but Trump? What exactly is this “radical agenda?” Treating people with courtesy and dignity has become radical?
Prisons. The Federal Bureau of Prisons rolled back an Obama-era transgender mandate. Federal prisons now avoid placing transgender inmates with the opposite biological sex, because doing so has exposed women to degradation, humiliation, harassment, and assault.
Who has been degraded, humiliated, harassed or assaulted? Where is the evidence? This from a someone with a personality disorder who seeks to degrade, humiliate and harass transgender people. Imprisoned criminals get more respect from this moron than a transgender person in the abstract. Has he ever even met a trans person?
Military. President Trump allowed the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security to decide whether or not they could implement Obama’s Transgender Mandate. After intense study, the departments found that admitting transgender-identifying individuals into the military was fundamentally unfair, cost prohibitive, and ultimately compromised the mission of the armed forces.
Bullshit. The real study done by the RAND Corporation demonstrates just the opposite. Weber's “intense study” seems to have been the catechism of the Catholic Church as provided by Ryan T. Anderson and some evangelical nonsense form Mike Pence.
Schools. Perhaps one of the most controversial changes under Obama was to change the definition of “sex” to mean gender in federal education civil rights law. Under our current Administration, the Department of Health and Human Service is now trying to push-back against the Left and make sure the law is clear that sex is an unchangeable scientific fact.
The usual dishonest idiocy disregarding the real “scientific fact” that gender is a separate construct from natal sex. For Mr. Weber we can safely assume that when science and scripture are in disagreement, the scripture prevails. Blissful ignorance.
What can you do to push back on the radical transgender agenda? At this moment, perhaps the most important thing you can do is vote.
Decent treatment is “radical.” The supposed transgender agenda is rapidly replacing the mythical homosexual agenda. It's a neat trick considering that trans people comprise about a half percent of the population.

This is just rank bigotry.

But I agree with Weber. Vote in order to protect LGBT people and others who are different. Vote to push-back against Christian Nationalism and theocratic objectives. Vote to restore real decency to America. Vote to keep Trump, a sociopath and pathological liar, in check.

Note: Paul Weber might not be (and probably is not) the author of the offensive blog post which is without attribution to an individual. As head of the group, he certainly is responsible.
