Christian Nationalist Opines on the Mueller Report

Apparently, Christian Supremacy provides its sponsors with the supernatural ability to know the contents of a document without having read it.

Republican operative and Christian nationalist David Lane serves up: The One Benefit of the Mueller Investigation. According to Mr. Lane:
Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the U.S. intelligence community and the Republicans on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees announced that no evidence exists of collusion between President Trump and Russia.
Robert Mueller has announced nothing of the sort. Nor has the U.S. intelligence community. Republicans on the House and Senate Intelligence committees do not have copies of Mueller's report. All that we have is Attorney General Barr's summary. It reads (in part):
The Special Counsel's investigation did not find that the Trump campaign or anyone associated with it conspired or coordinated with Russia in its efforts to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. As the report states: “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Where Barr quotes from the report, note the bracketed “T” meaning that he is quoting only part of a sentence. Even if that quote provides information in proper context, not “establish[ing]” what amounts to guilt is very different from Lane's assertion that “no evidence exists.” A great deal of evidence exists.
Are we therefore also to conclude that after spending $30-$35 million of taxpayers' hard-earned money on the investigation, Special Counsel Mueller didn't see the validity of looking into the perfidy of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Loretta Lynch, Susan Rice, James Clapper, John Brennan, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page or Bruce Ohr?
None of that has anything to do with the focus of the investigation: A deliberate effort of the Russian government to affect the outcome of our 2016 presidential campaign and the capacity of the Russian government to do so again. There were, by the way, ten Benghazi investigations, seven congressional committee inquiries and countless hearings over many years designed, not to form any policy regarding foreign service security, but to damage Hillary Clinton's presidential aspirations. How much did all that cost to accomplish nothing meaningful?

While the Benghazi probes yielded absolutely nothing, the Mueller investigation has resulted in nearly two dozen indictments. Five people pleaded guilty and an unknown number of referrals have been made to U.S. attorneys throughout the country.
Yet one benefit did spring from Mueller's investigation. As the putative "guardians of truth," the news media are no longer deemed fair, balanced and impartial. Instead, they are now looked upon as forces in league with the political left, striving for ideological supremacy and control of the public square.
Lane makes this accusation without specifics. The media have reported on evidence that does exist including that meeting at Trump Tower (which Trump lied about) as well as the guilty pleas of many Trump associates. The media have correctly reported that the State of New York is investigating the Trump Foundation.
Of far greater importance:
The 300+ page Mueller report is likely to include documentation of the many misdeeds of Donald Trump. That narrative is not included in the Barr summary. I suspect that Mueller has documented massive abuses of power and sheer stupidity. Just today we learned that Trump overrode 25 security clearances that were rejected by the intelligence community. That will not be in the Mueller report and it is within Trump's authority to do so. Yet these are still misdeeds.
Hopefully we get a road map:
Hopefully Mueller will provide us with the information required to reform government; much as we did after Watergate. We can never allow another Ivanka or another Jared in the White House. Jared has been using his position to obtain money for his failing real estate ventures. He has been in uncomfortably close communication with the Saudis and he has a top secret security clearance. We do not know if he has effectively sold US intelligence in order to get loans. That is not as far-fetched as it sounds.

While I am at it, we need laws to ensure that we have the tax returns of presidential candidates and we should receive the tax return of the president as well as every member of the cabinet every year that they are in office. We need our next president to be someone willing to reduce their own power.
The Christian Nation™ agenda:
David Lane goes on to describe how Trump has radically altered our federal appeals courts. In other words it is perfectly acceptable for our president to be a crazy sociopath who lies all the time if he appoints people to the courts who do the bidding of Christian conservatives:
A quick update: When President Barack Obama was sworn in on Jan. 20, 2009, Democrat-appointed judges controlled just one of the 13 U.S. Courts of Appeals. When he left office on Jan. 17, 2017, Democrat-appointed judges controlled 9 of the 13. As of today, Republican-appointed judges by the Trump administration have flipped one and tied up one. At this moment, Republican appointees control the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Circuits, with the 11th Circuit being evenly split between Republican and Democrat appointees. That leaves seven of the 13 Federal Courts of Appeals under Democrat control. The take-home point here is that Christians lose if they don't learn to play the long game.
It is not just the fact that these are Republican appointees. Trump has chosen anti-LGBT, anti-choice ideologues who now have lifetime positions. The Senate is complicit because Democrats changed the rules to a simple majority (from 60 votes) for confirmation.
It's always about abortion and LGBT rights:
The court's configuration is of supreme importance because of the fact that Democrats favor abortion, same-sex intercourse and marriage, infanticide, euthanasia, all-powerful and ever-present government, transgender bathrooms and coercive redistribution of wealth. The ethical and political points of view of Democrat-appointed judges tend to advance secular notions, values, politics and legislation to be codified into law, which deeply affect the culture.
Actually Democrats believe in the full First Amendment (most of the time). It includes the Establishment Clause. Mr. Madison clearly expressed the intent of our founding fathers.
Constructing Christian Supremacy:
However, the rebound of the Christian signature in the culture will require a different church model than the one employed over the last century. We must return to a Scripture-based culture. This will require a new type of leader, different from contemporary progressive Christian leadership captured and absorbed by "social justice," an ideology insidiously inserted into the church by the left.

As a quick reply in plain English to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and wannabe socialists of the 116th Congress, the following: "equality usually suggests fairness, equity, or the equitable; but what is equitable is often not to give people the same portions, but rather to give what is proportionate to the efforts of each." ("Social Justice: Not What You Think It Is," The Heritage Foundation, Report Poverty and Inequality,
Lane clearly favors a theocracy. A scripture-based culture is Christian sharia which was not what our founders had in mind.

AOC is a back-bencher who gets far too much attention from the right, and the left. We are not going to become a socialist country. These same people (including Ronald Reagan) railed about the evils of socialism related to the introduction of Medicare. Reagan even distributed an LP record of his views. Medicare was supposed to take away our freedom and make us like the Soviet Union. If Lane wants to be a critic it should regard a specific program or proposal. Crying “socialism” is just meaningless rhetoric.
Some bullshit for good measure:
This is a hard concept to grasp for Millennial and Gen Z generations, due to the fact that secular education and the bureaucratic state have become their sole purveyors of truth. The American Founding Fathers introduced a different model, based upon Scripture and enunciated clearly by the Apostle Paul, "If anyone will not work, neither let him eat."
Irony of ironies: According to Lenin, “He who does not work shall not eat” is a necessary principle under socialism. The phrase appears in his 1917 work, The State and Revolution. Moreover, our founding fathers never — never — intended that we should be anything other than a secular nation.

In other words, Mr. Lane and the Apostle Paul prove just why we resist religious control of our country.
The ekklesia, Jesus instructed, is to operate in the rough and tumble of the culture. Warning in Matthew 16:6b to "Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees," Christ signaled the predicament now facing contemporary Christianity: business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, medicine, family and religion [being] turned over to those in rebellion against God.
The ekklesia was the secular part of ancient Jewish governance. I am convinced that passages from scripture mean whatever the commenter wants them to mean. Many scholars believe that passage in Matthew is an admonition against hypocrisy which is yet another irony.
The ubiquitous threat:
The church has to break out from behind the four walls of the "meeting place" and reestablish itself in the public square if America is to survive. Christians have reached the point where they either reinstate a virtuous culture or lose their liberty.
No one is in danger of losing their liberty unless people like Lane are successful. Lane challenges the liberty to be a woman, to be LGBT or even to be a critical thinker. They would not force all men to grow substantial beards but they would require us to think alike and to behave alike in accordance with religious dogma. It would be a great deal more like a totalitarian Islamic state than the United States of America.
