First reaction to Equality Act comes from CNA/ADF

The first reaction to the Equality Act that I have seen is from Catholic News Agency. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops was heavily invested in defeating HR5. They claimed that this was the result of the effect of the measure on Catholic Schools. That's BS I think. The bishops oppose the Equality Act because transgender people do not exist and gay people are “objectively disordered.”

According to CNA:
“This bill undermines human dignity by threatening the fundamental freedoms of speech, religion, and conscience that the First Amendment guarantees for every citizen,” said Kristen Waggoner, senior vice president of the U.S. legal division for Alliance Defending Freedom. “Americans deserve better than the profound inequality that this intolerant, deceptively titled legislation offers.”
The only threat is doing away with the manufactured “right” to discriminate. When nondiscrimination measures undermine human dignity up is down and left is right. Apparently the measure is “intolerant” for being intolerant of intolerance. Alliance Defending Freedom is an anti-LGBT hate group.
Pants on fire:
“Many activists want to con Americans into believing that disagreement on important matters such as marriage and human sexuality is a form of discrimination that requires the government to enforce one view over another, but that is obviously wrong,” she said.
Ms. Waggoner has no problem lying for the Lord. The Equality Act leaves people free to believe anything they want. Thus, the Equality Act does not favor any point of view let alone empower the government to “enforce one view over another.”

These people are having a fit over religious liberty. Yet the holier-than-thou set has continuing problems with telling the truth.
