Is it a trans scam designed to fleece conservative Christians?

Jeff Younger appears to be a ne'er-do-well who lives in a fantasy constructed by his own BS. I am highly skeptical of the fundraising.
“Save James,” an anti-transgender campaign, has received donations totaling more than $75,000. I have written about this family in the  past. What brings me to this story today is a thoughtful reader alerting me to some updates to the Save James website. I will get to the most recent update upon conclusion.

Here is the story as described in the far-right Daily Wire run by the very crazy Ben Shapiro who makes me want to convert to Christianity. The narrative has been focused on this poor child's father who, it is falsely claimed, is in a custody battle with his ex-wife. November 2018:
According to court documents, the young boy only dresses as a girl when he's with his mother [Dr. Anne Georgulas], who has enrolled him in first-grade as a female named "Luna." The father [Jeffrey D. Younger], however, contends that his son consistently chooses to wear boy's clothes, "violently refuses to wear girl’s clothes at my home," and identifies as a boy when he is with him.

The Federalist reports that the mother has accused the father of child abuse in their divorce proceedings "for not affirming James as transgender" and is looking to strip the dad of his parental rights. "She is also seeking to require him to pay for the child’s visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilization starting at age eight," the report adds.
It is a false claim because joint custody has been settled. The mother is simply trying to modify custody to prevent Younger from abusing Luna who he calls James. He also gave Luna a haircut in an effort to force the child to be a boy.

Luna has socially transitioned and is only known as a girl in school. The father is damaging this poor kid.

The Federalist piece was written by Christian crazy Walt Heyer who now claims that he was never transgender but suffers from (what used to be called) multiple personality disorder. Go figure. He points to documents at Save James. One is no longer on the site. A second will not resolve in my browser but consists of a 333 page “dossier” that I was able to download from the command line.

Included in the dossier is a 2015/2016 psychological evaluation. It is pretty clear that Mr. Younger is a pathological liar. He claimed to his future wife that he had a lengthy military career when, in fact, he was discharged from the US Army for homosexuality approximately six months after enlisting.

A court appointed psychologist confirmed that Younger lied about his education, military history, employment history and relationship history. Had he been honest, the psychologist speculates that the relationship never would have progressed.

At that time, then James was noted to be exploring his gender.

Dr. Georgulas is a board certified pediatrician in private practice. She is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center in partnership with the University of Texas.

Jeff Younger appears to be a ne'er-do-well who lives in a fantasy constructed by his own BS. I am highly skeptical of the fundraising. I think (my opinion) that younger was trying to leech off of a successful physician with a nice home that she owned and a consistent high income.
Enter Sarah Scott of Carrollton, TX
Sarah Scott has created two venues for donations to the Save James campaign. The first of these is at a Christian site: GiveSendGo. First of all, why is Mr. Younger not the recipient of these donations? What is the purpose of Sarah Scott collecting the money? Ms. Scott makes some interesting claims:
Jeff has already incurred roughly 250,000 in legal fees and needs to raise funds for future legal fees and the cost of expert witnesses to aid in his campaign to protect his children. Expert witnesses are incredibly expensive. Future counseling will also be needed to aid this family.
When they separated, Dr. Georgulas gave Younger $5,000, supposedly to set up a new business. The guy does not have a pot to piss in. Regardless of their legal skill, lawyers are remarkably competent when it comes to getting paid. What lawyer is going to allow a client with no money to incur $250,000 in legal fees? Expert witnesses? For what? Common among trans-denying doctors is the fact that they never treat adolescent gender dysphoria which disqualifies them in our secular legal system … even in Texas.

I am going to guess that Scott met Younger when they were both clerical independent contractors at Met Life (reviewing her LinkedIn profile and the material that Younger provided). From her profile, Ms. Scott is self-aggrandizing a bit which would make her a perfect target for Younger who is, it seems, a pathological liar. Scott might actually believe that Younger has run up $250,000 in legal fees to modify a custody arrangement. Sarah's husband, Joe A. Scott, is a financial planner with Ameriprise affiliate should be more skeptical.

That site has raised $35,000. The second site, with identical verbiage has raised $38,000. Nice work if you can get it.

As for that recent post to the Save James website, it is titled: Transgender Child Abuse. It is from a video by Dr. John Whitehall.

I have done some research on Dr. Whitehall. He admits that he has never treated a child with gender dysphoria and has compared himself to Jesus in battling his many critics. The most important thing is that he is at odds with the position of the largest and most prestigious organization of pediatricians in the world: The American Academy of Pediatrics. Whitehall insists that gender diverse children are mentally ill. This contradicts the finding of the American Medical Association, the American Psychiatric Association, pretty much the entire medical establishment.

My bottom line: This entire campaign defies medical science and the best interests of the child. The donations are possibly what Jeff Younger lives off of or intends to live off of.
