It is HATE that is immoral

American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group, claims to be very upset that Trump recently postured as LGBT friendly. For the record, Trump is the most homophobic/transphobic president in decades. The White House has announced that Trump will not sign the Equality Act were it to be approved by the Senate. Yet, according to AFA:
On Friday, May 31 President Trump put out a statement celebrating LGBT pride month.

Homosexuality is not something the president should celebrate. It's unnatural, unhealthy and immoral behavior. We hope he will continue to stand firm against the so-called Equality Act (H.R. 5) and any legislation that threatens religious freedom. Such legislation will use the full force of the federal government to punish Americans who don't embrace the LGBT political agenda.
The “statement” that AFA links to consists of two idiotic tweets:
Being gay is neither unnatural nor unhealthy. Persecution on the basis of sexual orientation because of Bronze Age texts is unnatural and unhealthy. Furthermore, most Christian and Jewish clergy do not believe that being gay is immoral.  Many churches and synagogues host same-sex weddings. AFA is not the arbiter of what  is, or is not, immoral. Hate is immoral.

Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon has the same fetish that his father and founder of AFA, Don Wildmon, had. It is an obsession with LGBT people. Tim Wildmon has passed off this irrationality to his sons, Walker Wildmon and Wesley Wildmon.

I suppose that the point of AFA's missive is this:
If our mission resonates with you, please consider supporting our work financially with a tax-deductible donation. The easiest way to do that is through online giving. It is easy to use, and most of all, it is secure.
When the Wildmons are not promoting bigotry they are praising Trump's very crass, boorish and immoral behavior. If they are real Christians, as they claim, they should have better things to do. There are many opportunities for positive initiatives in things like nutrition, housing and literacy. The Wildmon's consistently choose negative endeavors. Were that not the case they would not be deemed a hate group. Why do people donate to an immoral hate group?
