After adjusting for factors such as race, income and age LGBT people were 29% more likely to report confusion or a loss in memory.
Overall, researchers at University of California San Francisco polled 45,000 people, age 45 and older, across nine states. About 3% were queer. It is important to understand that the results (and sexuality) are self-reported. Moreover the 45-65 group may suffer from disparities in overall healthcare as they do not qualify for Medicare.
