The Radical Right Accusing the "Radical Left"

“If American civilization fails it will probably be the result of the obliteration of objective truth.”
Kay Coles James
Kay Coles James, president of the Heritage Foundation, is an intellectually dishonest Trump cheerleader.
via YouTube
It has been my observation that Kay Coles James, president of Heritage Foundation, is not an especially intelligent individual. James' latest polemic is titled: Fight for America: Voters must do this to stop socialism and anarchy. It reads like something crafted by the Trump campaign.

The simple fact is that our country is not in peril of becoming socialist. Even Bernie Sanders is not really a socialist which requires government control of the sources of supply; nationalizing our our major industries and replacing markets with central planning.

Netflix Fails to Balance Offensive Homophobia in Latest True Crime Series

A murderer claims to be a victim with an after-the-fact “gay panic” defense.
Dale Wayne Sigler
Dale Wayne Sigler while still incarcerated
via Netflix
Netflix' latest true crime saga is I Am a Killer: Released. The series is about Dale Wayne Sigler who murdered John Zeltner, a Subway cashier who happened to be gay. Sigler has never denied that he did murder Zeltner. Sigler shot Zeltner six times. He originally claimed that he did so in the act of robbing the restaurant.

Sigler was sentenced to death in 1991. In Texas that is usually a certainty. For the record, while I am a victim of violent crime I am opposed to capital punishment. I would like to strangle the asshole who shot me but our society should be better than that.

Texas commuted Sigler's sentence to life in prison because the state had changed its laws regarding jury selection. Under Texas law, Sigler became eligible for parole after 30 years. Sigler was paroled.

Polish Bishops Seek Conversion Therapy "Clinics"

The bishops grudgingly admit that their proposal is “clearly” not consistent with the science. Yet they promote pseudoscience.
Basilica of Our Lady of Licheń in Poland
via Wikipedia via Diego Delso
The Catholic Bishops of Poland have addressed sexual ideology. It's the usual pablum: Gay people are objectively disordered and transgender people do not really exist. LGBT people should not be permitted to raise children. We have seen it all before.

The original Polish document is here.

I produced an acceptable English version using Google translate. It's not perfect and the pdf creation squashed a line or two. Nevertheless, it clearly provides the intent of the bishops.

I have broken one paragraph into four paragraphs to make it more readable:

Did David Kyle Foster Acquire Erudition When He Was Giving $10 Blowjobs?

David Kyle Foster makes a living deceiving others.
David Kyle Foster
David Kyle Foster
via YouTube
Thursday in a self-serving polemic, David Kyle Foster attempts to explain his personality disorder with: Why Witnessing to the Homosexual Takes a Holy Spirit Approach. Responding to the Christian takes a prescription for Nexium.

If someone wants to claim to be ex-gay my reaction would be “mazel tov.” When someone claims to be ex-gay and then insists that gay people are diseased and immoral, I have a slightly different reaction.

David Kyle Foster, a former prostitute and supposedly ex-gay man, tries to obscure his greed by claiming that he has a religious duty to “fix” gay people who he claims are “broken.”

Foster is a pray-your-gay-away practitioner. He writes:

You would think that a Bannon apologist could come up with a better photo

Steve Bannon
The word Schlump has Yiddish origins. Whatever you think about Steve Bannon, he is a schlump.
via Reuters by way of Charisma
At the ultra-conservative Christian outlet, Charisma, Amir George has penned a remarkably moronic defense of Steve Bannon. I suppose that he has never heard of Godwin's Law:
It was German theologian Martin Niemöller who, prophetically speaking of the the rise of Nazism in Germany, said, "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me."
Steve Bannon is most certainly not the victim of persecution by an authoritarian government. Furthermore, he will enjoy the presumption of innocence and will likely be represented by a legal superstar.

Honestly, I am not obsessed with Brian S. Brown, but ...

Brian S. Brown
… Brian Brown does make a great deal of pejorative noise. That is because his two groups produce an endless supply of email attempting to raise funds at the expense of LGBTQ people.

Today's noise is titled: Court-Ordered Child Abuse, written on behalf of International Organization for the Family, an anti-LGBTQ hate group.
We have an excellent and long treatment by our Russian contributor Pavel Parfentiev of the sad case of James Younger, an innocent child who is being manipulated by his mother to become a girl in spite of his father's (and, according to the father, his own) wishes—and the mother is being aided by the courts in committing this abuse!

Heritage Foundation Shilling for Hate Groups

“Hate is a vigorous motivator when it comes to getting people to donate.”
Jim Jordan
Heritage Foundation has an affinity for Trump apologist Rep. Jim Jordan shown hear in his nature attire in his natural pose "on the attack."
via Toledo Blade
The post at Heritage Foundation's blog is titled: Lawmakers Demand Answers From Jeff Bezos on Exclusion of Conservatives From Charitable Program.
Conservative members of the House are asking Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to answer questions as to why some conservatives appear to have been banned from using Amazon Smile, an Amazon charity program.
The congressmen are asking a rhetorical question which they already know the answer to. The Amazon Smile program excludes hate groups. It just so happens that the overwhelming majority of hate groups in the United States have a conservative bent.

To Raise Money a Hate Group Leader Claims That LGBTQ People Pose a Danger to Children

Brian S. Brown
Hate Group Leader Brian S. Brown, of International Organization for Marriage, has a new gimme email titled: a crack in the armor. It is a diatribe that includes self-victimization, science denial, bigotry and outright lies:
All around the world, LGBT extremists and their kin in the transgender movement have reigned seemingly supreme over cultures and political parties imposing their agenda seemingly at will (1). Here in America, anyone who questions what these people believe and the total lack of meaningful science behind their movement (2) – which is ruining children and breaking apart families (3) – is attacked, marginalized and threatened with reputational and career ruin (4). Lonely kids, especially girls, spend hours on social media feeling left out and alone, different from the rest, and then get seduced into the idea that they are transgender (5). Once that path is explored, even tentatively, they are pushed headlong into a system that validates their confusion, blames it on being ‘trapped in the wrong body’ and promises them that life will be better if they begin to “transition(6).” By the time these kids realize that life is not better, and is usually worse, it is too late for many of them. Their bodies will have been ruined and many are dangerously depressed (7). A large percentage try to kill themselves (8).

A Congressman Believes That Anti-Trans Measures are Good Politics

Two anti-transgender bills will die in committee but that is not the point.
Rep. Doug LaMalfa
Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa (CA-1) has a degree in agribusiness from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I suspect that Rep. LaMalfa could help me grow some potent pot.

LaMalfa presumes to be an expert in pediatric gender dysphoria. Apparently the farmer has more expertise than the American Academy of Pediatrics because he disagrees with that organization's clinical practice standards. Farmer LaMalfa has two bills under consideration which would ban medical interventions.
Doug LaMalfa wants to substitute his uninformed judgment for that of clinicians and parents.
Call me a cynic but LaMalfa knows that anti-transgender measures have no chance of passage in the House. Thus it is reasonable to presume that LaMalfa is pandering to his base in a conservative (middle income) California district. If LaMalfa is correct, if his constituents are in favor of these odious bills, then we have some work to do.

Hate Group Leader Refers to "Transgender and Homosexual Madness"

AFA has a video for sale.
Tim Wildmon, the not-too-swift leader of American Family Association will insist that his organization is unfairly deemed a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Yet, on Tuesday, Wildmon an email to supporters with the subject: Delighting in God's Plan for Gender and Sexuality.

Therein Wildmon seems bewildered by sexual diversity:
…let me assure you, the movement to brainwash America into accepting transgender and homosexual madness has not slowed down. If fact, it's gaining momentum.

RNC caves to hate groups in attack against the SPLC

This past weekend, the Republican National Committee caved to white supremacist and other hate groups by adopting a resolution titled Refuting the Legitimacy of the Southern Poverty Law Center to Identify Hate Groups.

The focus of the resolution is that “the SPLC is a radical organization” that harms conservative organizations and voices through its hate group designations.

This attack on the SPLC's work is an attempt to excuse the Trump administration’s pattern and practice of working with individuals and organizations that malign entire groups of people — immigrants, Muslims and the LGBTQ community — while promoting policies that undermine their very existence. It comes from the same vein as Trump’s claim that there were “very fine people” on both sides of the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville.

"We need to move this country back to freedom of their faces, freedom to breathe, freedom to speak -- all of this without a barrier -- freedom to see each other's expressions, freedom to communicate."

In a Rambling Diatribe Brian S. Brown Defends Steve Bannon

Brian S. Brown
Brian S. Brown, for some reason, tries to cast doubt on the indictment of Stephen K. Bannon
Brian S. Brown has sent out lengthy emails on behalf of National Organization for Marriage and International Organization for the Family. These are titled: In Defense of Steve Bannon. The emails are verbose. They link to a page on IOF's blog (bearing the same title). That page is more verbose.

What is Brown trying to prove? The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York has a conviction rate greater than 95% so the probability is high that Mr. Bannon and his associates are going to be guests of the federal government for a time and the room service sucks. According to the government they face imprisonment for up to 20 years.

The Disingenuous Mr. Grenell Has a Memory Hole

Trump is a temporary LGBTQ advocate when he thinks it favors him politically. If we have learned nothing else, Trump cares about only one person: Donald Trump. This photo makes me nauseous.
As many of you know, last Wednesday Log Cabin Republicans tweeted out a video by Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell. According to Grenell, Trump “is the most pro-gay president in American history.” On its face that is preposterous.
Presumably Mr. Grenell is fond of the job he can retain only if Donald Trump is elected in November to serve a second term.

Grenell stressed “gay” as opposed to LGBTQ. Even a toadie like Grenell isn't shameless enough to suggest that Trump is anything but antagonistic to transgender people. Here are just few reminders:

The Next Time Tony Perkins Complains About FRC Being Deemed a Hate Group ...

An email and new web content highlight just why Family Research Council is deemed a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Tony Perkins
Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins of Family Research Council continues to provide evidence that his organization is a hate group.
Thursday, Family Research Council sent an unsigned email to supporters titled: FRC Releases New Publication on Biblical Principles for Human Sexuality. The contacts per the email are J.P. Duffy and Joshua Arnold. Both people are unknown to me.

The email is subtitled:
Reaffirms that Christianity stands in direct opposition to the ideologies underlying the sexual revolution
“Sexual revolution” is a meaningless phrase and could be replaced with things we disapprove of. As stated, the topic is human sexuality. Claiming that human sexuality consists of “ideologies” is a form of the straw man argument which is a logical fallacy per se.

Hate Group Obliterated My Batshit-to-English App

“When people go off the deep end we are not obliged to follow them.”
Jugoslav Kiprijanović
Jugoslav Kiprijanović is as confused as he looks
Brian S. Brown has found a new polemicist for the International Organization for the Family blog. That would be Jugoslav Kiprijanović. Apparently Mr. Kiprijanović is a Serbian who is associated with IOF and World Congress of Families which are really the same thing (both are assumed names of the Howard Center for Family Religion and Society).

The whole lot constitutes an anti-LGBTQ hate group.

Mr. Kiprijanović has penned A Disease Worse Than Cervical Cancer. The subtitle of this mess reads:
A recent piece on CNN clearly shows that the media are being controlled and used as a tool of ideological colonization.
Perhaps this all made more sense in Serbian. For the record, CNN is “controlled” by Warner Media which, in turn, is controlled by its parent: AT&T. Apparently, what Kiprijanović disapproves of is this tweet.

Heritage Foundation and Pronoun Contests

Peter Vlaming
Former teacher Peter Vlaming claims that he is entitled to treat transgender students disrespectfully in violation of school policy.
via The Morning Bulletin
Heritage Foundation is fiercely transphobic. After all, Heritage is the employer of trans-obsessed Defender of the Faith Ryan T. Anderson. A recent post at Heritage Foundation's blog is titled: Fired for Accidentally Calling a Transgender Student ‘She,’ Teacher Takes Case to Court.

The author of that piece, Rachel del Guidice, is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville. Somehow the Franciscan Friars failed to stress the importance of accuracy; at least with respect to the title of her polemic.

The case involves a teacher by the name of Peter Vlaming. Vlaming filed suit against the West Point School Board (West Point, VA) in state court last September.

An anti-LGBTQ Crazy is a "New World Order" Conspiracy Theorist

Apparently climate change and the coronavirus are conspiracies manufactured by a globalist cabal of elitists in their quest for world domination.
Steve Jalsevac
In addition to his anti-LGBTQ bigotry, LifeSiteNews' Steve Jalsevac is a New World Order conspiracy theorist.
via Facebook
Steve Jalsevac provides no shortage of material to write about. Jalsevac, the managing director of hate-site LifeSiteNews, is on the ignoramus ignore list with rare exceptions. Today we learn that The two most dangerous men in the world are Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci. Who knew?
Bill Gates and Anthony Fauci are two of the leaders co-opting the Wuhan virus–manufactured hysteria to usher in a truly New World Order.
The new world order conspiracy theory holds that there is a powerful, secretive cabal of elites. These are globalists who are determined to achieve world domination. They, in turn, will become authoritarian rulers of the world, thus ending nation-state sovereignty. The result will be the Fourth Reich; something out of 1984.

Frank Schubert Lies With Such Ease

Frank Schubert
Frank Schubert in 2008 promoting marriage discrimination
via National Organization for Marriage
Big tobacco hack and former political director of National Organization for Marriage, Frank Schubert, is condemning Kamala Harris. But first he must attempt to establish his bona fides and depict a tragedy:
I managed the successful Proposition 8 campaign in California reaffirming in the state constitution that marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Harris was elected California’s Attorney General (barely) in 2010, two years after Proposition 8 passed. By that time, the initiative was embroiled in heavy litigation. Having survived numerous lawsuits in state court, it was challenged in 2010 in federal court. A homosexual judge, himself involved in a long-term same-sex relationship, presided over the case. (The judge never disclosed his conflict of interest during the trial.) The judge ruled that Prop. 8 violated the US Constitution and declared it invalid. However, the judge’s decision was put on hold so that the case could be appealed. This is where Harris’ duplicity became particularly evident.

Some are Offended by the Democratic Party's Embrace of LGBTQ People

Pete Buttigieg
Former South Bend mayor, Pete Buttigieg, will have a prominent role at the Democratic National convention which deeply troubles some people.
via ABC News
Doug Mainwaring claims to be ex-gay. He was the supposed “gay man who opposes gay marriage” according to Brian S. Brown (when National Organization for Marriage did more than ask for money).

Friday, Mainwaring writes: Homosexuals, transgenders to be ‘part of the fabric’ of Dem convention nominating Biden. Mainwaring, who claims to be a conservative Catholic, doesn't seem to accept the fact that gay and transgender people are part of the basic fabric of America.

About 40% of American families (possibly more) have a close family member who is an LGBTQ person. Should they not be represented in American Politics? I will remind Mr. Mainwaring that, when it was convenient, Trump trotted out Peter Thiel, a gay billionaire, at the last Republican convention. (Thiel has reportedly dumped Trump.)

Heritage: Knowing That LGBTQ People Exist Puts Children At Risk

“Apparently — and I confess utter ignorance — sexual diversity is a contagious pathogen similar to the novel coronavirus.”
Mary Rice Hasson
Mary Rice Hasson (speaking at Ave Maria University in 2017) is one of Heritage Foundation's experts on sex education.
via YouTube
Anti-LGBTQ bigotry is exposed when people claim that LGBTQ people pose a danger to children. Thursday, at Heritage Foundation's blog, Virginia Allen writes: Progressive Sex Education and the Battle for Our Children. The first paragraph reads:
Progressive activists seek to expand sex education in schools across America to include topics such as sexual orientation and gender identity. Their proposed curriculum also promotes abortion.
I can spout the same kind of nonsensical BS: “Conservative Christian activists seek to marginalize LGBTQ people in schools across America to include topics such as reparative therapy and gender identity conversion therapy.”

An interim win for Dr. Georgulas

Anne Georgulas
Dr. Anne Georgulas is now the sole decision maker
regarding the medical treatment of her trans daughter.
In the matter of Georgulas v. Younger, Dr. Georgulas has been given unilateral authority to make medical decisions for her transgender daughter, Luna. At least for the time being.

Judge Mary Brown issued this order after a hearing was canceled by agreement between the two parties. As you may recall, Luna's father, Jeffrey D. Younger, cannot cope with having a transgender daughter whom he has treated abysmally.

After considering all of the evidence produced at a trial lasting a full week, a jury awarded Dr. Georgulas sole custody of her daughter last October.

Biden's Selection of Kamala Harris Scares the Crap Out of the Religious Set

We will remember forever the folks who enabled Trump and all of Trump's abhorrent behavior.
John Paulton
John Paulton of Family Policy Alliance is shilling for our sociopath-in-chief.
via Family Policy Alliance
Former V.P. Joe Biden was very smart in choosing Kamala Harris as his running mate. Ms. Harris is extremely intelligent, focused and well spoken. The religious right is extremely concerned that Biden's selection will improve his chances of beating Trump in November.

The Christian right is on the attack. They are desperately trying to put a dent into Harris. Of course the way to do that — the Christian right playbook — is to use LGBTQ people as a wedge.

In doing so they risk increasing the resolve of anti-Trump voters. One does not have to be for Biden to oppose the reelection of arguably the worst president in the history of the country. At some point even some of the MAGA bozos have had their fill of being lied to. Trump's most reliable constituency is probably the Q-Anon crowd.

"Ex-Gay" Woman Opines "Why a Generation of Girls Is Fleeing Womanhood"

“If you agree that parental consent is not gratuitous then this entire narrative falls apart.”
Jean C. Lloyd
This is the closest I can come to an image of Jean C. Lloyd. This is from her appearance in a film produced by the Church's Courage Ministry.
The ex-gay woman is Jean C. Lloyd and the outlet is none other that Witherspoon Institute's pretentious blog. For starters, a generation of girls is not fleeing womanhood but Ms. Lloyd is; a) obsessed with transgender people (presumably in defense of the faith) and; b) incurious which makes her particularly susceptible to confirmation bias.

Ms. Lloyd has some difficulty in differentiating fact from opinion:
Abigail Shrier’s new book is an outstanding investigative report on the diagnostic craze of rapid onset gender dysphoria that has swept over adolescent girls in the past decade. It is an invaluable resource for parents, educators, church and community leaders, and anyone else who cares about the well-being of young women.
Abigail Shrier's book is the product of research that was so significantly corrected by the publishing journal as to make it meaningless. I am informed, off the record, that there was considerable debate among the editors about retracting rather than correcting junk science.

We Do Not Oppose Conversion Therapy Because Some Idiot Tried Shock Therapy

Religious conservatives continue to use a straw man to oppose pediatric conversion therapy bans. There is no evidence that conversion therapy, in any form, is safe and effective.
Roger K. Gannam
Liberty Counsel's Roger K. Gannam | via YouTube
Roger K. Gannam, who is with Liberty Counsel, an anti-LGBTQ hate group, is in distress over legislation banning pediatric conversion therapy in Virginia. Why are conservative Christians so heavily invested in conversion therapy?

Forgive the rhetorical question. Conversion therapy exists, in part, because it is used to suggest that sexual orientation and gender identity are choices. That preposterous sentiment is then used in attempts to defeat nondiscrimination laws.

Those same conservative Christians are wed to the notion that they have a “right” to discriminate. In fact many assert that they are obliged to discriminate. You would think that nondiscrimination requires people to engage in gay sex.

Today's Motion Hearing the Georgulas Case Has Been Canceled

The Court notes: Canceled - AGREEMENT BY PARTIES

Attempts to Rewrite History are Very Risky

Brian S. Brown is a frequent subject of this blog because he sends out emails, virtually daily, looking for donations. Every one of those money-begs is dishonest in one form or another. Holier-than-thou doesn't seem to require truthfulness.

This fib in an email received Tuesday is particularly amusing:
NOM had successfully sued the IRS over its illegal release of confidential donor information which ended up the hands of one of the nation’s most extreme LGBT groups, the misnamed Human Rights Campaign. Because we pushed back against the IRS and took them to court – eventually winning a settlement – the Treasury Department has announced that they will no longer require nonprofit groups to report the names of their donors.

Brian Brown is So Easily Fact-Checked

International Organization for the Family
Appeals for money from International Organization for the Family (an anti-LGBTQ hate group) bear a striking similarity to those from National Organization for Marriage. Loaded with BS.

The latest missive from Brian S. Brown is titled: planned parenthood petrified. That is doubtful. Combined with all U.S. affiliates, revenues from the most recent tax filings* were $1,834,894,853; assets of $2,485,180,757.

IOF is an assumed name of the Howard Center For Family Religion and Society. In calendar year 2018, Howard Center had revenues of $561,117 and ended the year with assets totaling $67,918. It had a negative net worth at year's end. I don't think that Planned Parenthood has much to worry about.

Return of the Duck Schmuck

Phil Robertson
The guy on the right is dead. They guy on the left is brain dead. Both are/were utterly insane.
You will be please to know that Phil Robertson, formerly of Duck Dynasty (2012-2017) fame, says that he and Trump only discuss spiritual matters. The rabidly anti-LGBTQ Robertson claims that he “pointed him to Jesus.” In any event, according to this idiot:
“I met with him three times since he was running – the second time via telephone. … The three times I’ve been with him, this was at the center of our discussion,” Robertson said, holding up a Bible for the camera. “I pointed him to Jesus. We talked spiritual matters all three times.”

Focus Affiliate is a Hate Group!

Autumn Leva
Autumn Leva, from Family Policy Alliance, seems to be obsessed with LGBTQ people. She has been a hateful bigot since she was in her 20s.
via Family Policy Alliance
Family Policy Alliance (FPA) is affiliated with Focus on the Family. Southern Poverty Law Center does not list FPA as a hate group. Nevertheless, FPA traffics in anti-LGBTQ jeremiads. One sure measure of a hate group is the promotion of the idea that LGBTQ people pose a peril to children.

Friday, FPA's Autumn Leva writes: WHAT Happened in School?? Leva is not exactly the brightest bulb in the chandelier but FPA has a devoted following. Leva was previously with a marriage discrimination group, Minnesota for Marriage. In that role she claimed that gay men were too promiscuous to marry other gay men.

There is always a tragedy:
…some of the saddest situations you’ve shared with us are what your children have been exposed to at school. And we’ve had the heavy responsibility to warn you about what is happening in schools across the nation.

Weirder Still: Stephen E. Strang and the Nigerian Quackpot, Part Deux

Is this the female version of Howard Beale? We've gone mad!
Stella Immanuel
Stephen E. Strang
Friday's continuing saga at Charisma is titled: EXCLUSIVE: COVID Warrior Dr. Stella Immanuel Deems Hydroxychloroquine Fight a 'Spiritual Battle'. It is probably exclusive because there aren't many people who are stupid enough or wacky enough to vouch for High Priestess Immanuel.

We begin with Donald Trump, a man who finds it impossible to just admit that he was wrong. Some of you might recall the Sharpie map. Trump said that hurricane Dora would hit Alabama. He made a mistake. Instead of just saying that the weather service advised him otherwise, the sick fuck, well … you know:
Donald Trump and Sharpiegate
A few months ago, apparently in an effort to bolster the Dow (which he views as his approval rating), our sociopath-in-chief claimed that hydroxychloroquine cured or prevented COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine was later linked to multiple deaths of COVID-19 patients.

R/W Christian Site: "Frontline Physician Stella Immanuel: 'I Maintain That There Is a Cure for COVID'"

Stella Immanuel
According to the Texas Medical Board Stella Immanuel practices medicine out of this storefront in a Houston strip mall.
Quite remarkable I would say. That is the same woman who claims that having sex with demons makes people sick that that medications contain alien DNA. How much more authoritative could one be? Perhaps it is her education. After all, Immanuel is a proud graduate of the University of Calabar in Nigeria.

Must be a great medical school because the “About” link on the website yields a 404, not found error. But on to the text:
The furor arose because Immanuel, a primary care and emergency room physician, has become a powerful advocate for a hydroxychloroquine protocol she says will cure—not merely treat—COVID-19. But Immanuel, also a deliverance minister who calls herself "God's battle ax," says her fight is against much more than the coronavirus. In a recent podcast interview with Charisma Media founder and CEO Steve Strang, she gave insight into the powerful enemies she faces in both natural and spiritual realms.

Ryan T. Anderson Lives in a Dishonest State

In defense of the faith, Ryan T. Anderson is a pathological liar. “Anderson's mindset is comparable to the orchestrators of the Spanish Inquisition.”
Ryan T. Anderson
Ryan T. Anderson is once again asserting that transgender people do not really exist by claiming that transitioning is unnecessary. Once again Anderson is being deceptive. I suppose that we should not be shocked that self-righteous people are content to lie in defense of the faith. At this point it is expected from the holier than thou crowd.

The title of Anderson's latest polemic is: Transitioning’ Procedures Don’t Help Mental Health, Largest Dataset Shows. That is simply untrue. Anderson is being thoroughly dishonest.

By most accounts Ryan T. Anderson is an ultra-pious Catholic in perpetual defense of the teachings of the Church. Anderson employs a no-questions-asked approach; assuming that Church doctrine represents incontrovertible truth regardless of evidence to the contrary and without considering other points of view.

Another Ex-Gay Crackpot With the Same Bullshit

Jessica Newsome
Jessica Newsome | via YouTube
How thrilling! Jessica Newsome provides: Ex-Lesbian: The Truth Behind Conversion Therapy 'Fake News'. I suppose that peer-reviewed articles published to reputable academic journals are Trumpian “fake news.” Presumably the absence of peer-reviewed articles published to reputable academic journals in support of conversion therapy is thus meaningful.

One more time: “We” do not oppose conversion therapy because of aversion practices. We oppose conversion therapy because, even in its most benign form, it is ineffective and harmful. Moreover, at this point conversion therapy only exists to provide a justification for discrimination and oppression.

Right now, the things you and I cherish about America — pro-Christian, pro-family, pro-life values — are at risk of slipping from our grasp.

Brian S. Brown Must Be Raising a Herd of Bulls in His Back Yard

All of that bovine exhaust must come from somewhere.
Has Brian S. Brown, of National Organization for Marriage, run out of ridiculous reasons for people to donate to NOM? Or, perhaps, people are attracted to part with some money so that NOM can do something which it cannot possibly do, to address a situation which does not exist in order to avert something that doesn't happen.

In any event. Mr. Brown has little respect for the intelligence of his constituency and it seems pretty clear that he has waived a white flag on marriage. Yet, for attempting to sustain the operation, I give Brown credit for persistence. Exactly what NOM actually does (other than asking for money) remains a mystery.

Peter Sprigg Would Have People Believe that So-Called Ex-Gays are an Oppressed Minority

“Ex-gay” people claim to be straight. Oh, the repression is just so awful!
Peter Sprigg
Peter Sprigg of Family Research Council is angry with Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook. Sprigg calls the entrepreneur “two-faced.” We begin this saga with an all-too-familiar political stunt by an all-too-familiar congressional whack job:
Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) grilled the CEOs of Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook about censorship of conservative voices online in a congressional hearing July 29 …

Here is what Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg said in reply:
Yes, Congressman. I believe strongly in free expression. Giving people a voice is an important part of what our services do, and I’m very worried about some of the forces of illiberalism that I see in this country that are pushing against free expression. I think that this is one of the fundamental democratic traditions that we have in our country. And it’s how we make progress over the long term on a number of issues. And our company is committed to doing what we can to protect people’s voice.

Guess Who is Pissed Off Because Mexico City Banned Conversion Therapy

To be honest, I would not know that Mexico City banned conversion therapy were it not for the complaints of right wing media. For that, we go to Calvin Freiburger at LifeSiteNews:
Under the legislation, which was first introduced two years ago, healthcare practitioners could spend up to five years in prison for conducting “practices consisting of psychological, psychiatric sessions, methods or treatments that are intended to nullify, hinder, modify or impair the expression of gender identity, as well as the sexual orientation of people,” Mexico News Daily reported. Such treatments are commonly known as reparative or “conversion” therapy.
I give Freiburger credit for including the following:
“There is nothing to cure. Homosexuality is not a disease, we are not sick,” declared the bill’s author, Morena party lawmaker Temístocles Villanueva.

Austin Ruse and I Have Never Been in Greater Disagreement

Austin Ruse and I disagree on just about everything. Despite his anti-LGBTQ handiwork (which has diminished somewhat), Austin is actually a very kind and caring guy.

I am not Catholic and his book has not been released. For the life of me I cannot understand how Ruse supports a narcissistic sociopath who is a pathological liar. In simpler terms: A crazy person who lies all the time.

I get it. Despite Trump's personal beliefs he can be used to conform policy to the notion that life begins with ejaculate.

Heritage Foundation Shill "Exposes" the "Chicago Gun Myth"

A self-serving preface
Fortunately gun violence is an abstraction for the overwhelming majority of people. Gun crusaders never seem to have been victims of gun violence. The folks who propose that the solution to gun violence is more guns are not people who have been shot. I could have been carrying an Uzi and some hand grenades and the result would have been the same.

I will go to my grave with acute PTSD which frustrates daily functioning. I will also be in physical pain. Receiving the product of a .45 point-blank in the back is inherently unhealthy.

Instead of complaining about Amazon.com and the SPLC ...

Common sense suggests there are better ways to be removed from the SPLC's list of hate groups than attacking the SPLC.
Tony Perkins, Family Research Council
Tony Perkins is like a deadbeat who blames the credit bureau for his terrible credit which is due to his nonpayment of bills.

Friday and once again Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins of Family Research Council is complaining about the Southern Poverty Law Center. He is also grumbling about the fact that Amazon.com relies on the SPLC for eligibility to participate in its Amazon Smile charitable program. Amazon Smile excludes hate groups.

In 2018 the Amazonsmile Foundation distributed $37.5 million to worthwhile charities. Poor Tony Perkins is not getting his share. Would it not be easier simply to stop acting like an anti-LGBTQ hate group?
