Other Than Promoting Hate Why Attack Trans Kids?

The religious right is preoccupied with transgender youth. Were they concerned for the welfare of trans and gender nonconforming kids they would not write the crap that they do write. Tuesday, Jonathon Van Maren writes There’s an industry to provide transgender kids with ‘accessories’ they weren’t born with.

In an effort to provide a sober rationale for his nonsense, Van Maren's subtitle reads:
We must pay attention to these trends and what activists are saying — because one minute it is a trend, the next it is law, and finally, it is taught in the schools.
The above has no applicability whatsoever to Van Maren's hateful treatise which is designed to embarrass trans youth. There is nothing pertinent to either write into law or teach in the schools.

Hate Group Specialty: Lying While Fear Mongering

Tony Perkins
President Biden's reversal of Trump's transgender military service ban fuels Tony Perkins' unhealthy obsession with LGBTQ people.
I have two missives from Family Research Council — an anti-LGBTQ hate group — pertaining to President Biden's reversal of Trump's transgender troop ban.

It is a virtual certainty that Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins is less interested in defense posture than a) criticizing President Biden and; b) defending scripture.

The first email consists of a press release titled: President Biden Diverts Military Away from its Mission, Forces it to Pay for Gender Reassignment Surgeries. There is no link to the statement online.

To begin with there is no such thing as “gender reassignment surgery.” Were it possible to “reassign” gender there would likely be no transgender people. Then there is the hyperbole. There are about 1.3 million active duty personnel.

Of that 1.3 million, fewer than 9,000 persons were identified a couple of years ago as transgender. I ran out of fingers and toes but those trans troops seem to be less than 0.7% of the total force.

Another Science-Denying Nitwit Cites Non-Existent Science

David McLoone
David McLoone is one of LifeSiteNews'
village idiots.
via Twitter
According to David McLoone: Twitter suspends two LifeSite accounts for calling ‘transgender woman’ a man. It is safe to assume that McLoone is not thanking Twitter for their vigilance in limiting hate on their platform.

I wrote about a similar issue earlier today. Twitter temporarily zapped Dr. Michael Brown's account.

Returning to McLoone's transphobic diatribe:
Both accounts displayed a simple message which read: “Biden names transgender ‘woman’ as Assistant Secretary of Health. ‘Rachel’ Levine is a father of two who divorced his wife in 2013 after 30 years of marriage.” The tweets also included a link to LifeSite’s article Biden names transgender ‘woman’ as Assistant Secretary of Health, and contained part of the opening sentence of that article, “Joe Biden has announced his intention to appoint a gender-confused man” as Assistant Secretary of Health.

Twitter Zapped Dr. Michael Brown for Transphobia

“Perhaps instead of bitching about Twitter, Michael Brown should take responsibility for some of the misery that he creates.”
Monday, Dr. Michael Brown is bitching that Twitter locked his account for 12 hours due to his transphobic comments regarding Dr. Rachel Levine.

Please bear with me. I have a lot to say about this and related matters. According to Brown:
I was informed that I had been locked out my account for 12 hours because of this tweet, which had been posted on January 20: “Will I get punished by Twitter for saying that, in God's sight, ‘Rachel’ Levine (nominated by Biden to be his assistant secretary for HHS) is a man?”

Ryan T. is Terribly Distressed Over Trans People and the Biden Administration

Ryan T. Anderson is a religious fool. This time around he is even claiming that transgender people pose a danger to themselves.
Ryan T. Anderson is obsessed — on behalf of the Catholic Church — with transgender people. The Heritage Foundation employee (soon to move to Ethics and Public Policy Center) has authored: After Inaugural Rhetoric on Unity, Biden Signs Divisive Transgender Executive Order.

The only people I know of who feel that transgender accommodations are “divisive” are those who disapprove of transgender people in defense of scripture and religious dogma. For the zealots, the very existence of transgender people is a challenge to religious doctrine.

Religious fanatics believe that they have a monopoly on morality. Why then did Mr. Anderson never complain about “kids in cages?” Where is Anderson's opprobrium for any of Trump's 25,000 lies? Where was Anderson's outrage when Trump said that Neo-Nazis and similarly reprehensible people are “good people?”

Joseph Backholm is Already Bitching About President Biden

Joseph Backholm
via YouTube
Thursday, Joseph Backholm writes: 7 Executive Actions on Abortion, Gender Identity We Can Expect From Biden. Backholm's outlet of choice is Heritage Foundation's blog notwithstanding the fact that his employer is Family Research Council.

The purpose for religion is to offer a path to an afterlife; providing that one follows the rules (the doctrine). Therefore religion is about personal choices as they pertain to personal conduct.

Joseph Backholm believes that the dogma applies to the conduct of others whom he disapproves of. He is compelled to denigrate people — not for choices they make — but for their sexuality over which they have no control.

Mr. Backholm is now employed by an anti-LGBTQ hate group. He seems determined to conform to FRC's organizational culture.

Oh, The Horror of Gay Chocolate

Hate groups and Todd Fucking Starnes are having a shit fit over a Cadbury commercial which includes an apparently gay couple sharing a chocolate. Surely, as I type, God is teeing up a tsunami to make us all pay for a commercial that Mr. Starnes disapproves of.

If you are seeking hyperbole, look no further than American Family Association, an anti-LGBTQ hate group. In an email signed by head bigot Tim Wildmon:

Pillow-Brain Claims That "Retailers are Scared"

via Newsweek
Apparently retailers who stop selling the crappy pillows are afraid of, … something.
Mike Lindell, the MyPillow schmuck, lives in some sort of fantasy. When Dominion Voting Systems' lawyers contacted Lindell he told outlets that he was happy that they sued because now he could present all of the evidence showing that China influenced our 2020 election through Dominion Voting Systems.

Jonathan H. Adler explains via Volokh Conspiracy:
This week, Dominion's attorneys sent a cease-and-desist and record preservation letter to My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, demanding that he stop repeating false and unfounded allegations against Dominion and retain communications with others about such claims. Reached for comment by Axios, Lindell reportedly responded "I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election."

New President - Same Old Bullshit From Haters

Kelsey Bolar
Kelsey Bolar
via Fox Biz
Kelsey Bolar, senior policy analyst for for the far-right Independent Women's Forum is very distressed. She is also not too bright.

According to Ms. Bolar (via American Family Association):
The policy analyst is also no fan of the Equality Act as it currently stands.

"We know there has been a long push on the left to really change what it means to be a biological female," Bolar continues. "They want Americans to be able to identify by the gender not based on their biological sex but how they choose to identify, and this is a huge threat to girls and women in area of sports.

Conforming to Medical Science Amounts to "Ideology over Medicine?" Seriously?

Jennifer Roback Morse
In defense of the faith and scripture, Hate Group Leader Jennifer Roback Morse is spewing her usual irrational transphobic nonsense.
Cognitive dissonance? American Family Association provides: Ideology over medicine. Transgender youth and their families rely on clinical specialists for transgender health care. It is religious conservatives who have prioritized their ideology over medical science.

According to AFA's Charlie Butts:
The founder of a global non-profit organization that defends the family at home and in the public square and equips others to do the same says it's "unconscionable" that a left-wing agency in California is paving the way for funding the mutilation of teenaged girls.
Butts is referring to Jennifer Roback Morse. The only thing that Morse defends is the teachings of the Catholic Church. Just think about the stupidity: Morse claims to be a “defender of the family.” Some families have transgender members.

Transgender Woman Nominated for Key Post in Biden Administration

Dr. Rachel Levine
President-elect Joe Biden announced that he will nominate Dr. Rachel Levine, the current secretary of health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as assistant secretary for health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Levine is also president of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials which demonstrates the respect that her fellow state secretaries of health hold. Dr. Levine, a board certified pediatrician, is a graduate of Harvard and of Tulane Medical School. She has served in her current state post since 2017.

Brian S. Brown Making Excuses for John Eastman

John Eastman
via Associated Press, 2017
“Brown can claim that Eastman is the greatest legal scholar since Louis Brandeis. It is entirely irrelevant. Mr. Eastman's conduct obscures any relevant legal wisdom.”
The latest missive, on behalf of National Organization, from Brian S. Brown is titled: In support of John Eastman: Therein Brown attempts to defend Mr. Eastman who is NOM's chairman:
John Eastman is one of America’s foremost constitutional scholars, appellate advocates and conservative voices. Professor Eastman served in the Reagan Administration, and clerked for some of the top conservative justices in the country, including federal Appeals Court Judge Michael Luttig and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) was honored to have him serve with distinction as our Chairman for several years and he has represented NOM in numerous issues before the courts.
The reason that Brown is defending Eastman is that, in light of Eastman's actions in support of Donald Trump, Chapman University demanded Eastman's resignation.

The Idiot Son of an Idiot Son Ponders the Equality Act

Walker Wildmon
via YouTube/CBN
Perhaps if religious conservatives ceased falsely equating service with approval then not discriminating would not be a problem and they could go about running their businesses.
Be advised: Equality Act would stomp religious conservatives. That's according to American Family Association, an anti-LGBTQ hate group.

Here we go again. We are going to hear a great deal of negative nonsense over the Equality Act which seems likely to be signed into law in the near future now that Democrats control both houses of Congress and the presidency. Much of what we have already seen is focused on transgender people who are the religious extremists' target of opportunity.

The Equality Act would add sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And don't you know? The religious fanatics absolutely cannot be deprived of their “right” to discriminate.
Ever the victim

In Its Final Days the Trump Admin is Redoubling Efforts to Make LGBTQ People Suffer

It is easy to blame the LGB voters for Trump as stupid or illinformed. The truth is that we, in the LGBTQ mainstream, are doing something wrong.
Federal contractors
Last Friday, January 8, a new Department of Labor rule became effective through the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. The objective of the rule is to “address the freedoms and anti-discrimination protections that must be afforded religion-exercising organizations and individuals under the U.S.Constitution and federal law.”

Under the guise of preventing discrimination based upon religion, Labor reversed an Obama-era rule in order to allow federal contractors to discriminate against LGBTQ people

Lisa Miller + Hate Group Leader + LifeSiteNews=Spectacular Homophobia

via Facebook
Lobbying Trump to pardon an anti-gay individual who fled rather than face justice and comply with court orders.
Hate Group Leader Jennifer Roback Morse of Ruth Institute, in conjunction with LifeSiteNews, is trying to persuade Trump to pardon “ex-gay” Lisa Miller who abducted her child and fled to Central America. Miller kidnapped the child to prevent her former partner (in a civil union) and legal parent from having joint custody.

The background, as briefly as possible, is this: In 2000 Lisa Miller and Janet Jenkins united in a civil union. In a joint decision, Miller became pregnant through artificial insemination. Isabella Miller-Jenkins was born in 2002. The family moved to Vermont. Miller and Jenkins are the legal parents of Isabella.

In late 2003 the couple dissolved their civil union amicably. They agreed that Jenkins would have regular visits with Isabella and pay child support.

Religious Right Group Presents the True Meaning of "Transphobia"

Some anti-LGBTQ bigotry took a holiday. It diminished considerably as the Christian nationalists devoted more attention to the presidential election of 2020 and its aftermath.

Tuesday, Family Policy Alliance, the political arm of Focus on the Family, provides NJ Assembly Passes Bill That Teaches Transgender Identities Starting in Kindergarten. I guess that the respite has come to an end.

I will get to the facts momentarily. My first reaction was to question how age-appropriate knowledge about gender identity poses a peril to children. The answer to my rhetorical question is: “It does not” providing that the information is scientifically accurate and age-appropriate.

The specifics of the bill:

Yet, Again, the Hate Group Leader is Victimized by Godless Libruhls

“No matter how indecent or boorish Trump has been, Tony Perkins has supported Trump and excused Trump's sociopathy.”
According to Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins (Family Research Council): Technically (Not) Speaking: The Conservative Purge Begins. Mr. Perkins claims to be a conservative but that is false.

Perkins is a religious conservative. Perkins, in spite of all his flag waving and Bible thumping, does not respect the Constitution. Poor Tony is upset:
All they needed was an opening. And for the rich extremists at the helm of the West's social media, last Wednesday's riot gave them one. The purging of conservative expression has begun. We knew it was coming -- just as we've always known it will take every one of us to stop it.
That's rich. A fanatical religious zealot calling business leaders extremists. Unless “every one of us” is sufficient in number and resources to acquire a majority interest in, say, Twitter, it is quite probable that Twitter's Terms of Service will remain in its current form.

Brian S. Brown Defends Trump and Insurrectionists

Brian S. Brown
Friday, Hate Group Leader Brian S. Brown of International Organization for the Family provides us with: Condemning the Capitol attack—and liberalism’s hypocrisy. Mr. Brown has never learned that there are times to just stay silent. Brown's idea of hypocrisy amounts to “whataboutism.”

Conservative Christians have created a troubling relationship with Donald Trump. It started during the campaign when Trump said that he would punish women who had abortions. Some of the religious set would allow the country to burn if, in return, they could control the uteri of all women. For them, Roe v. Wade represents the greatest evil in the land.

Conservative Christians are also deeply concerned over the encroachment of secularism. Secularism, to them, means an accommodation of evil.

In Monday's New York Times Katherine Stewart writes:
Even a corrupt sociopath was better, in their eyes, than the horrifying freedom that religious moderates and liberals, along with the many Americans who don’t happen to be religious, offer the world.

Hate Group Leader Floats a New Election Conspiracy Theory

Tony Perkins
“I think that we are all tired of idiotic and baseless conspiracy theories which have been aimed at convincing people that Trump won “by a landslide.””
Throughout the 2020 presidential election, Tony Perkins and his hate group, Family Research Council, have launched numerous prayer events intended to influence their god to favor Donald Trump. That didn't quite work out.
Nothing fails as reliably as prayer. If there is a god why would s/he favor a serial adulterer with two divorces, six creative bankruptcies (intended to stiff creditors), 25,000 lies and an Olympic god medal in self-absorption?
Friday, through LifeSiteNews, Tony Perkins offers: Revelations arise of Facebook CEO’s multi-million-dollar election involvement.

This pertains to about $350 million that the Zuckerbergs provided to municipalities to cover extraordinary election expenses. Expecting an enormous turnout and an unprecedented amount of absentee ballots, election offices with very tight budgets were in a bind. About 2,500 of these applied for grants.

Religious Transphobia is Endless

Brandon Adams a transgender adolescent circa 2017
via USA Today
“The next time Jonathan Keller is ill perhaps he can find a practitioner to drive out the demons.”
According to Pat Robertson's CBN: California Orders Insurance Companies to Pay for Teens to Have Mastectomies for Gender Transition.

The headline is correct but the intended inference is misleading. Last December California's insurance commissioner ruled that insurance companies cannot deny coverage for female-to-male chest reconstruction based solely on the insured's age.

CBN kinda fails to mention:

Heritage Foundation's Fraudulent Voter Fraud Database

Michael Deviney, according to Heritage Foundation's blog, was unfairly censored. He claims to have been victimized by evil liberals:

According to Deviney: Republicans were the true winners in this election.
What was my offense? I mentioned that there may have been fraud in this election and others in the past. I cited The Heritage Foundation’s credible work on the subject, including its Election Fraud Database.
According to Heritage Foundation:
The Heritage Foundation’s Election Fraud Database presents a sampling of recent proven instances of election fraud from across the country.
Recent?” The 1,308 instances of voter fraud go back at least to 1982 (there are several undated entries prior to those). Based upon more recent entries in the database, 1982 is the year of resolution; not the year in which the offense took place. The lag time is generally two to four years.

Ryan T. Anderson Continues His War of Transphobic Bigotry

Ryan T. Anderson
Ryan T. Anderson of Heritage Foundation is obsessed with transgender people. Anderson's preoccupation with gender diversity is apparently his effort to defend the teachings of the Catholic Church which, in turn, are based on scripture. According to the Church, transgender people do not really exist. I'll leave it at that.

The outlet for Anderson's latest transphobic tantrum is World Tribune which is similar to World Net Daily. It is a mixture of conspiracy theories, fake news and fringe far-right opinion. Anderson is among the far-right fringe dwellers. He offers: Taxpayers funding transgender surgery for Wisconsin man who raped his daughter.

Thank You Louis DeJoy

Louis DeJoy
via Rolling Stone
Louis DeJoy was brought on board by Trump to deliberately sabotage mail-in ballots. He failed that test but has managed to fuck up the United States Postal Service well beyond expectations for fuckupability.

I have a package sent from Northern California on December 10 on its way to my home in North Bay Village, FL. It is still in transit. NBV is an island in the middle of Biscayne Bay linked by draw bridges to Miami Beach to the east and Miami to the west. But I digress.

Here is the joyful itinerary of my package:
