It is free, easy to do and it helps our transgender friends

A couple of things happened this week. Penny Nance, president of the Christian-right Concerned Women for America, had a meltdown over preferred pronouns during her son's freshman orientation at Virginia Tech. Nance is probably calling the poor kid every day to make sure that he has not been indoctrinated. Ms. Nance needs adult supervision.

Thursday I reported a bad link to JAMA Network. JAMA Network is comprised of the 13 journals of the American Medical Association. JAMA's press representative sent me an email as she sent out a corrected media advisory. I notice that, as part of her email signature, she included preferred pronouns.

Jeffrey McCall Chatting With God About Eunuchs

via YouTube
For a little more than a year Jeffrey McCall has been holding poorly attended pray-your-gay-away rallies that get an outsized amount of attention from the religious right. McCall, an otherwise unemployed ne'er-do-well got religion and has seemingly turned it into an occupation. His enterprise might be financed by a California cult; Bethel Church.

I love reading about these little colloquies:
I was surprised and wanting to know who these eunuchs were: these born that way from their mother's womb. I started seeking the Lord on the topic, and He showed me what this meant. The Lord spoke to my heart that eunuchs born that way are those who were set apart by God from the womb to minister to God.

Brian S. Brown is immune to embarrassment

“Brian S. Brown does not have a high regard for the intelligence of NOM's supporters.”
Embed from Getty Images
This afternoon's money-grub from Brian S. Brown (shilling for National Organization for Marriage) is titled: A freight train is headed right at us. How ominous! Brian S. Brown serves up a pack of lies about the Equality Act:
I'm speaking of H.R. 5/S. 788, the so-called Equality Act which I call the InEquality Act because of the way it imposes the extreme LGBT agenda on average Americans, especially people of faith.

Sorry AFA - Target crushes estimates - Stock trading at all-time high

American Family Association — an anti-LGBTQ hate group — has been boycotting Target Corporation. (NYSE:TGT) for over three years. Target's “crime” is its policy to allow customers and staff to use facilities consistent with their gender identity.

AFA's dimwit in charge (DIC), Tim Wildmon, has made all manner of crazy claims about the effectiveness of the boycott. As The Advocate pointed out Wednesday Wildmon has dishonestly claimed that the sex crime of a cisgender man is the result of Target's policy regarding gender diverse people. Wildmon also claims that AFA is not anti-trans. Sure.

Blaming gays for the murder of a priest by a burglar reminds me of "blood libel"

What could motivate someone to blame gays for a murder by a thief?
Catholic Church and Rectory
via Wikipedia
Kevin Wells writes: My uncle, a heroic priest, was murdered while cleaning up gay mafia in DC parish.

Nearly 20 years ago Msgr. Thomas Wells, was murdered in his Maryland rectory of Mother Seton Parish. The murderer, Robert Paul Lucas, was a 25-year-old tree trimmer who lived out of his car.

Kevin Wells writes:
An unshakable conviction, shared by dozens of priests and thousands of lay faithful in the Maryland/DC corridor, is that Msgr. Wells's life and 29-year priesthood ended as a direct result of the active homosexuality practiced by priests who once lived in that rectory.

Why are preferred pronouns so damned upsetting?

Penny Nance
Penny Nance
via Politico
Hate group leader Penny Nance (Concerned Women for America) was interviewed by Heritage Foundation's Katrina Trinko. Ms. Nance is terribly distressed over pronouns. Ms. Trinko seems to share her angst.

These people always look stupid when they try to seem hip:
Thanks for having me. It’s always great to be here at The Heritage Foundation, The Daily Signal, these are my peeps for sure.
“Peeps?”

I like it when people identify their preferred pronouns. Doing so eliminates some potential embarrassment. In polite society we address people as they wish to be addressed. Thus we need to know how they prefer to be addressed. No one is forcing a conservative Christian to be gender diverse. However, they should extend to everyone the common courtesy that they deserve.

Mad Mat is in rare form re: Google - And a fax spam scam

According to hate group leader Mad Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel): DON'T LET "SILICON CENSORS" STEAL YOUR VOTE! Furthermore, according to Mad Mat: “Big Tech's unchecked power threatens our freedom and our voice.” Who knew?
“Silicon Censors” in firms like Google have worked for years to silence pro-faith and pro-freedom perspectives—even as they push their own far-left, radical views. Facebook even banned renowned evangelist and humanitarian Franklin Graham before public outcry brought him back.

And that’s not all. Google has used its massive online presence to manipulate voters—handing Hillary Clinton at least 2.6 million votes in 2016 according to Robert Epstein, an expert who just testified before a Senate subcommittee.

The greatest threat to LGBTQ equality at the Supreme Court does not involve LGBTQ people

George Q. Ricks
George Q. Ricks is hoping that the Supreme Court will require a religious exemption to a state law due to his extremist fundamentalist Christian beliefs.
via Becket Fund
Conservative lawyers are seeking a hearing before the Supreme Court for a case could upend efforts to uphold existing state and municipal nondiscrimination laws. I am referring to Ricks v. State of Idaho Contracting Board. The case has nothing to do with gay or transgender people but it asks the Court to revisit Employment Division v. Smith. In Smith the Court held that the Free Exercise Clause requires no religious exemptions from laws that are neutral and generally applicable.

George Q. Ricks, a construction worker, wanted to obtain a license as an independent contractor. Idaho requires an applicant to provide his social security number. Ricks claims that he has a religious objection to providing his social security number as a condition of employment. He is willing to provide other forms of identification. Ricks is represented by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty.

Log Cabin GOPers do not know the meaning of the word "community"

While Log Cabin Republicans remains irrelevant, they have empowered Trump to be even more hateful to the LGBTQ community.
Charles Moran
The delusional Charles Moran
I do not know which was more idiotic: Log Cabin's OpEd in the Washington Post endorsing Trump or Saturday's appearance of Log Cabin Republicans spokesman Charles Moran on AM Joy. Certainly, all LGBTQ people are members of the LGBTQ community. Yet, organizations like Log Cabin have a responsibility to those same people.

We can reasonably expect LGBTQ organizations and activists to accept responsibility for the wellbeing of the community. That is part of what defines community. They should welcome that responsibility because absent obligations there is little reason to exist. Without accepting the burden of nationwide equal protection and due process we are led to question the presence of good faith.

Chad Felix Greene's fragile ego was bruised

Mr. Greene provides a primer on how to destroy one's career while gay.
Chad Felix Greene (L) and husband
via Twitter
I rarely write about Chad Felix Greene. I find him to be a self-aggrandizing bore. Greene is a married gay man. Thus, he is the direct beneficiary of LGBTQ activism. Yet Greene is overtly and consistently critical of the efforts to afford him due process and equal protection.

Greene has had the chutzpah to post a rabidly transphobic piece to Witherspoon Institute's blog which earned the praise of Ryan T. Anderson. That means he lopped off the “T” from his notion of community.

Greene was employed as a low-level or mid-level manager at a West Virginia hospital. Friday, Greene offers: Anti-Discrimination Policies Didn’t Help When People Targeted My LGBT Identity At Work. Greene was not targeted for being gay and West Virginia provides no nondiscrimination protections for LGBT people.

Brian S, Brown's money-grubber offers his solution to mass shootings

“…donating money to IOF is not going to reduce mass shootings.”
Brian S. Brown
Image via YouTube
According to Brian S. Brown his International Organization for the Family (part of an anti-LGBT hate group) is the answer to mass shootings. If only you will open your wallet and send Bri some money. The missive is titled: When Families Fail - IOF News:
Much of the news cycle in the past week or so has been consumed with the horrific news of mass shootings in several US cities. These tragic events leave people shell-shocked, wondering what can be done to prevent future senseless killings. An op-ed in the Los Angeles Times written by researchers who have studied in depth every single mass shooting in the United States since 1966 has shed some light on a critical aspect experienced by every single mass shooter: they were a victim of family failure. Our own Doug Clark writes about this below in this edition of our newsletter.

ADF is dishonestly asking for money to support Dr. Allan Josephson's lawsuit

Allan M. Josephson
Thursday, I received an email from Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-LGBT hate group. It is a money-grubber with the subject line: Who will speak up for the children?. To answer ADF's rhetorical question, many people will speak for the children. Most of them want those kids' doctors to adhere to the best scientific standards.

I will get back to the text of the email. First, an Allan M. Josephson refresher course:

Dr. Allan M. Josephson was head of juvenile psychiatry at University of Louisville Medical Center. Josephson opposes gender-affirmative care for trans youth. The alternative is some form of conversion therapy; a pseudoscientific intervention to change a child's gender identity.

Tony Perkins' Astounding Financial Acumen

Tony Perkins is a financial idiot or, he believes his supporters to be financial idiots or, … both.
Tony Perkins
via FoxNews/YouTube
If one believes Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins (Family Research Council), Gillette lost $8 billion because because the company aired a commercial of a trans teen learning to shave. PuhLEEZE!.

I will get back to Mr. Perkins but first let us take a voyage into reality. Don't go to sleep on me. It's really not all that complicated. You are smarter than Tony Perkins.

Let us start with the proposition that company A buys company B for the grand sum of $100.00. Company B has an actual net worth of $75.00. To account for the $25.00 difference company A will show, on its books, an asset of $25.00 described as “Goodwill.”

Goodwill is an intangible asset and, over time, company A will amortize the asset. In our case company A, might take a deduction from earnings of $5.00 every year for five years. Among other things, this reduces A's tax liability.

USA Today enables and promotes anti-trans bigotry

On August 12, USA Today published an OpEd from someone by the name of Jay Keck. It is a reasonable certainty that the editors of USA Today failed to vet Mr. Keck or his supposed daughter suffering with Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria. The title of this essay is: My daughter thinks she's transgender. Her public school undermined my efforts to help her. Sure.

The subtitle reads:
I pleaded that my daughter's school call her by her legal name, use female pronouns. By refusing, they prevented her from getting the help she needs.
Sure. It's all about pronouns. The school is at fault for, … something. Blame them. “Bad school!” “Bad school!”

I choose not to quote any more of Keck's BS. Keck claims membership in two organizations; the Kelsey Coalition and ParentsOfROGDkids. I will discuss those “memberships” but first:

Brian S. Brown requires ...

Late Monday I received a missive from Brian S. Brown, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage, titled: Science Deniers. Before I read a single sentence I know that the email will be a dishonest appeal for donations; a money-grubber.

Dishonest because Mr. Brown will claim that the donated money will be used to solve a problem that NOM cannot solve if, in fact, the problem exists at all.

Aside from the inherent dishonesty of the overture, Brown requires testicles the size of beach balls to assert that others are science deniers. (That is the extent of my interest in Brown's equipment.) Brown is projecting. He firmly believes many things that are at odds with medical science. This is true with respect to human sexuality.

Leave it to AFA to oppose red flag laws

American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group, could fuck up a wet dream.
Red flag laws allow a family member or police to ask a judge for permission to confiscate a person's firearms if they are a threat to themselves or others. Red flag laws have been demonstrated to substantially reduce suicides. I think that we can safely speculate that they might reduce the carnage that a minority of gun owners inflict on others. The weapons are returned to the owner after a specified period of time unless the court order is extended.

AFA's Chris Woodward offers: Another warning about 'red flag' laws versus Constitution. You would think that a rational Christian group would be all for diminishing gun violence but this is American Family Association and they are deranged to the point of echoing NRA talking points:

This medical doctor should have chosen the priesthood instead

“Laidlaw's professional orations are not consultations. They are sermons.”
Dr. Michael K. Laidlaw
For religious reasons, Michael K. Laidlaw is obsessed with transgender people. That plaque to his right represents membership in the Endocrine Society. He is at odds with his own professional organization when it comes to the care of trans youth.
via YouTube
American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group turns to Dr. Michael K. Laidlaw for his view of gender-affirming care for trans youth. The hate groups seem to coalesce with religious screwballs to promote their anti-LGBTQ doctrine.

Dr. Michael K. Laidlaw is one of those screwballs. Laidlaw practices endocrinology in Rocklin, CA. Laidlaw's board certification was revoked — probably for not meeting Maintenance of Certification (continuing education) obligations. Laidlaw does not treat transgender youth. Yet, he has an awful lot to say on the subject.

Heyer is an imbecile - It's Ryan T. Anderson who is to blame

Walt Heyer
Walt Heyer
via YouTube
Walt Heyer is at it again. This time at Witherspoon Institute's pseudo-intellectual blog. Ryan T. Anderson edits the blog. He is permitting an obviously unbalanced crank to publish posts. Furthermore, Heyer gets away with his bullshit because Anderson subscribes to expositions that conform to his religious beliefs — medical science be damned.

Heyer's piece is titled: “Diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria—Too General and Too Much Harm.” It includes a verbose subtitle:
The diagnosis of gender dysphoria prematurely puts people on a path to transition while trivializing and dismissing contributing factors such as alcohol and drug abuse, sexual fetishes and co-existing psychological disorders. The trans “treatment” being idolized today should meet the same fate as lobotomies, tooth pulling and colon removal—tossed on the historical rubbish heap of debunked horrific experiments perpetrated on innocent, hurting people.

Mad Mat Staver trots out his Islamophobia

Mat Staver
Hate Group Leader Mad Mat Staver
via CBN/YouTube
Liberty Counsel, an anti-LGBT hate group, is also known for anti-Islamic hysterics by its leader Mat Staver. According to Mad Mat: Radical Islam defeats Army War College… without a shot. Staver goes on to write:
But in June, the War College waved the white flag . . . to radical Islam.

It crumbled under a media pressure campaign mounted by the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) — a Hamas-linked apologist for Islam. CAIR sent PR salvos flying and the War College buckled, canceling a planned lecture on Islamic military history by scholar Raymond Ibrahim.

AFA Triples-Down on Anti-LGBT Bigotry

“The point of all this drivel is to sell a DVD.”
It's raining BS
Thursday I have received two emails (about an hour apart from each other) from Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon of American Family Association and the day is still young. Drag Queen Story Hour remains topical but Wildmon airs a multitude of other grievances.

AFA, an anti-LGBT hate group, is always looking for its next failed campaign. AFA's boycott of Target Stores was a dismal failure. Last March they were simply outraged over a Walmart Facebook ad featuring a gay date. Their protest went nowhere. Since then there have been countless petitions often featuring a manufactured victim of godless librulls.

NOM failed - It is also corrupt (UPDATED)

Aside from all the failures, Brian S. Brown has benefited personally from companies that NOM did business with.
Ethics questions surround Brian S. Brown
via FoxNews/YouTube
UPDATE (August 8, 2019): Someone sent me an email saying that she could not follow this post. On review, I agree. Allow me to bottom line this.

This was a very limited review of just one (of many) PACs and one 501(C)4 nonprofit entity during just one (of many years). At Brian S. Brown's direction NOM funded ActRight Action with a grant of $200,000. $80,000 of that went back to Brian Brown as additional salary. Another $40,000 went to Neil Corkery.

Moreover, ActRight Action started a political organization (a "527"), ActRight Fund. Some of the money donated to the fund was redirected to for-profit companies controlled by Brian Brown.

There is much more to this but you get the idea. Secondly, I used the term "transient grant." The correct term is reciprocal grant. I have highlighted the change in the text in red.

Some of you have noticed that NOMblog is history and that begs a larger discussion. In my world people are judged by earnings. The best managers try to instill a quality culture into their organizations to ensure that they are collectively planning for long-term results in contrast to instant gratification.

Brian S. Brown's orbit is different. He is judged — I think — for his piety and the supposed importance of his cause, over and above accomplishments. In much of the nonprofit world there is little concern for the quality cycle and management development. Training is task-oriented rather than mission driven.

"Indoctrination:" AFA using Drag Queen Story Hour as a proxy for anti-LGBT bigotry

Tim Wildmon
Hate group leader and religious fanatic Tim Wildmon (American Family Association) is again promoting the ridiculous idea that LGBT people are trying to indoctrinate children.
Via Jackson Free Press
A missive from American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group, reads: Whole Foods sponsors 'Drag Queen Story Hour' targeting children:

Opposition to Drag Queen Story Hour is nonsensical when you think about it. Religious conservatives are criticizing an event that parents choose to take their children to. The critics want to make decisions which curtail the rights of those participating parents and their children. Suggesting that the children of parents who make an informed choice are targeted is saying that those parents are irresponsible.

Remarkable confusion over gender

Cathy Ruse writes: URGENT: Tell Virginia’s governor not to ban healing therapy for gender-confused kids.

The background to this is that Virginia is considering a ban on conversion therapy through an interpretation of regulations by the commonwealth's Department of Professional Regulations. Unfortunately, the link to the document text does not work. I am going to assume that a ban on conversion therapy is under consideration affecting licensed health providers.

At the outset, the “healing therapy” that Mrs. Ruse is promoting does not exist. An intervention would have to change child's gender identity to one congruent with their natal sex. It just doesn't exist. It is apparent that Ruse does not understand juvenile gender dysphoria. She writes:

WoLFer criticizes gender diversity

Trans youth need our full support
Women's Liberation Front does not seem to do anything other than attack transgender people. Natasha Clark, who claims to be the board chair of WoLF, has five posts at The Federalist attempting to marginalize trans folks. Monday's offering is no different: While They Openly Support Maiming Children, LGBT Activists Claim Criticizing Them Kills Trans People. Oh, do tell.
Chase Strangio, a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union, claimed that Mario Lopez’s comments expressing concern about parents identifying children as young as three years old as transgender are “dangerous,” “damaging,” and could cause children to “die.”
Here is part of what Mr. Strangio wrote:

Moonie Daily: What's needed is more guns to reduce gun violence

Monday, according to Washington Times columnist, Cheryl K. Chumley: Gun-carry rights must be strengthened, expanded. Yeah, sure. My personal experience is that no amount of weaponry in my possession would have prevented being shot in the back, point-blank with a .45.

For the rest of my life I will be paying a price for that interaction. So when one of the village idiots, among the most idiotic from Idiot Village, parrots the NRA by calling for more guns I get a tad, … annoyed.

Another plea from LifeSite News to sign their Apple News petition

Yesterday, I wrote about the fact that LifeSite News was included and then abruptly terminated from Apple News due to its anti-LGBT ravings. I just received an email with the subject line: UPDATE: Massive petition against Apple censorship is WORKING! Please SIGN today!. Liars. There is no incremental progress. Either Apple rescinds their termination decision or they do not.

My guess is that Apple is not going to reverse themselves. There is no economic reason for them to do so. You never know. The language in the email is rather, … unhinged:
Support for our petition against Apple News' decision to ban LifeSite from their portal is growing at a massive rate!

Since we first launched this petition - only two days ago - more than 26,000 people have signed in SUPPORT!

I promise to get to the flagged comments

I have just had some other priorities but I am aware of the issue. I am most appreciative of people who take the time to alert me.

MassResistance takes credit for the antics of a deranged rabbi

Rabbi Yehuda Levin is known as the “smelly rabbi” because of his public opposition to brushing teeth and bathing.
via YouTube
This week MassResistance, an anti-LGBT hate group, is taking credit for an organized protest of a Pride event which took place two months ago. The protest was organized by a demented Orthodox rabbi.

Rabbi Yehuda Levin of Brooklyn, NY has been an outspoken anti-gay bigot for at least 35 years. Levin has blamed gays for hurricanes and earthquakes. Levin has claimed that marriage equality kills Jews (personally, I have never felt endangered). Levin also claims that black people are cursed. By the way, Levin stinks. He is known in Brooklyn as the “smelly rabbi” because of his public opposition to brushing teeth and taking baths.

Levin should worry about his own house. Pedophilia is rampant throughout Brooklyn's Orthodox community. Rabbinical “omerta” prevails.

The TEEvee machine is indoctrinating kids again - It's a conspiracy

Gay dads in Hulu's The Bravest Knight
via YouTube
According to American Family Association, an anti-LGBT hate group: The LGBTQ agenda in kids' programming is deliberate. It is deliberate in an effort to promote respect for diversity but that's not what AFA has in mind:
Homosexual characters and story lines are showing up more and more often in children's programming – and in the process usurping the rights of parents to determine if, when, and how they want their children to be hear about the topic of sexual orientation.
I hate to tell them but television in general usurps parental rights. Advertisers, for example, promote products that parents disapprove of or cannot afford to buy. In this case what AFA is effectively saying is that parental consent is required in order to tell children the simple truth that gay people exist.

The dishonesty is appalling

“If people are incapable of differentiating between a belief system and science, how can they possibly offer a responsible point of view?”
via Washington Dept. of Licensing
Religious people are entitled to their faith-based beliefs. However, when they state those beliefs as pragmatic fact they are being dishonest. They are lying.

Washington State is going to issue driver's licenses with a non-binary option for “Sex.” People will have the option of an X instead of M or F. Department of Licensing Director Teresa Berntsen said in a statement to the Seattle Times: “By us acknowledging there are more than two forms of gender, we are acknowledging basic human rights.”

LifeSiteNews cannot figure out why they are deemed intolerant

The decision that tech companies have made is not to be enablers and purveyors of bigotry. That is not censorship.
LifeSiteNews, LifeSite News
On July 22, 2019 LifeSiteNews (LSN) announced that it was incorporated into Apple News. The next day I, and presumably a number of other people, contacted Apple to inform them that LSN is not compliant with Apple News' terms of service. Indeed, I suspect that LSN will be deemed an anti-LGBT hate group by year's end. After all, MassResistance, Linda Harvey, Peter LaBarbera and other odious actors are regular contributors.

Late Thursday they posted: BREAKING: Apple News bans LifeSite without warning: says it ‘shows intolerance.’ The very notion that they deserve a warning is a source of amusement. After some “poor us:”
