Georgia legislator wants to make aiding gender transition of minors a felony

State Rep. Ginny Ehrhart
GA State Rep. Ginny Ehrhart
State Rep. Ginny Ehrhart, R-Powder Springs doesn't know what she doesn't know about pediatric gender dysphoria. She doesn't seem interested in finding out.

Ehrhart wants to make it a felony for medical professionals to help a minor with gender transition. My presumption is that she wants media exposure that will endear her to Christian conservatives who have a problem with trans people due to a conflict with scripture.

The measure is probably DOA — even in Georgia. But that's not the point. According to Ms. Ehrhart, the legislation aims to protect children from having irreversible procedures done when they are young. She doesn't really understand that young children do not receive “irreversible procedures.” Yet:

A new line of lies from Brian S. Brown

Above all, people should not subsidize an organization that hurts children to raise money.
Brian S. Brown
Brian S. Brown has no regard for medical science. If science conflicts with Catholic doctrine, Brown dismisses the science. Faith over evidence. It makes no sense. The latest pay-me-mail from Brown, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage, includes this tidbit:
LGBT activists regularly encourage people to explore "changing" their gender when they perceive something "off" about how they feel. A girl can no longer be a tomboy – she's said to be a "transgender man." And once she succumbs to the idea that she is "transgender," her life will be forever changed, for the worse.

Blowhard Bill Donohue certifies conversion therapy

Bill Donohue
Thursday, Blowhard Bill Donohue of the Catholic League is defending the amicus briefs of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops filed in in two of the three cases before the Supreme Court. In two of those cases, gay men were terminated from their employment when employers learned that they were gay. In the third case, a transgender woman was terminated from her job when she transitioned.

As you would expect, the bishops are supporters of discrimination. They have weighed in, opposing workplace equality, in the transgender discrimination case and one of the gay discrimination cases.

Liberty Counsel's latest economic scam

Mat Staver
Hate Group Leader Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel is engaged in a scam to cheat people out of their money.
Liberty Counsel, an anti-LGBTQ hate group, is once again selling useless fax services at tremendously inflated prices. The faxes are supposedly going to influence members of Congress with respect to their views on impeachment. In reality, members of Congress are only interested in the views of actual constituents who are eligible voters in their district.

According to the text:
I am tired of the fake witch hunt against President Trump. The U.S. House has spent years and tens of millions of my tax dollars trying to investigate our president and found absolutely no high crimes or misdemeanors.

Proof of Concept: Stupid people don't know they are stupid

Tim Wildmon
Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon - American Family Association
via Jackson Free Press
American Family Association, an anti-LGBTQ hate group, began its failed boycott of Target Stores in April, 2016. It began with a lie. 3½ years later, AFA's president, Tim Wildmon, continues to lie in an attempt to “prove” that he did not lie in the first place.

AFA's actions have never been rooted in concern for shoppers' safety. What this is about — what it has always been about — is disdain for LGBTQ people, transgender people in particular. Target's accommodation of gender diverse people is an affront to Wildmon's fundamentalist Christian beliefs.

April 21, 2016:
On its web site this week, Target announced, "[W]e welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity. ...Everyone deserves to feel like they belong."
[…]
Target's policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims. And with Target publicly boasting that men can enter women's bathrooms, where do you think predators are going to go?

Brian S. Brown is busy protecting us all

Brian S. Brown
The latest pay-mail from Brian S. Brown on behalf of National Organization for Marriage is titled: lives RUINED. Brown spent all of his caps money on “ruined,” requiring him to forgo capitalizing the “l” in “lives.” I really take exception to people telling me what I believe when I do not:
I've written before about how LGBT activists deny the overwhelming scientific evidence that males and females are very different in virtually every aspect of their being. These differences are innate and immutable and go well beyond the reproductive organs that a person is born with. They include cellular, muscular, and skeletal differences, and even include brain function, the different ways men and women perceive sight and sound, process information, respond to aggression, display emotions and interact with children. It simply is scientifically impossible for a person of one sex to "transition" to being the opposite sex. All they can do is attempt to imitate the opposite sex through the use of powerful drug and hormone therapies, and debilitating surgeries.

Tony Perkins knows precisely what he is doing by accusing us of "grooming" kids

Tony Perkins
Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins
via Family Research Council
Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) has a fondness for calling gay men pedophiles. That makes Perkins an irredeemable bigot who long ago prioritized greed over religious reverence. The basic process of separating gullible people from their money rarely changes:
  1. Make them fearful.
  2. Make them victims of godless LGBTQ people.
  3. Make narrow-minded “values” a virtue.
  4. Make them accept Tony Perkins as their savior … if only the target will make the small sacrifice of donating a few dollars
Tony Perkins — who has direct ties to the Ku Klux Klan — is content to have his organization designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center in perpetuity.

Told to ‘Tone Down Your Gayness’: Police Sgt Is Awarded $20 Million for Discrimination

Marketing Pray-Away-the-Gay for Profit and as Pretext for Discrimination

According to Church United, a 501(c)3 in Newport Beach, CA: Former LGBTQ Individuals Say 'Equality Act' is Discriminatory and Fraud Prevention Act Denies their Existence. Apparently they are having a news conference in Washington. D.C. on Wednesday. Nevertheless, the real agenda is to promote religious conversion therapy. That's where the money is.
"Formers" (those who no longer identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning) representing every state in the Union have selected 15 Former LGBTQ people to travel to Washington, D.C. October 28 – November 1 to address concerns about LGBTQ-focused legislation such as bill H.R. 5, which passed in the House in May, and H.R 3570, which was introduced in late June.

Sins, victims, the agenda - Did I leave anything out?

They need for us to want their approval in order to believe that they have power over us. They only have the power we errantly cede to them.
Shane Idleman
The omniscient Shane Idleman
via DeadState
The exceedingly noisy and irritating Shane Idleman is lead pastor at Westside Christian Fellowship. According to the IRS, that is really Leona Valley Community Church in Leona Valley, CA (2010 population: 1,607). On Friday Mr. Idleman thought it important for all of us to know: Why Bowing to the LGBTQ Agenda Only Validates Our Culture's Sin.

It seems that these folks are incapable of appreciating the simple truth that we are not seeking their approval. The only power that they believe they have is to substitute shame for approval. We robbed them of that authority when we said that we do not care. “But, but they must care!” No, really, we don't. We neither seek nor require their approval.

Katy Faust has a theory

“A sure sign of bullshit is evident when someone's assumptions are stated as fact which is precisely what Katy Faust does over and over again.”
Katy Faust
Katy Faust | via YouTube
There is a disturbance to the Force. Christendom is in turmoil. I have a collection of hate mail which has become a sardonic source of amusement. Another two people demanded that I delete several posts. Demanded, mind you. The Texas mother of a 7-year-old trans girl has retained custody.

My inbox overflows. My news aggregator has become a source of fanciful fiction. You would think that this kindergartner was on the table; prepped for a penectomy … snip, snip. If these awful people gave a shit about the kid I might be more charitable. Their concern, however, is limited to the sanctity of scripture.

A hate group trifecta

“Cretella is claiming that several physicians, in concert, would intentionally misdiagnose a child with gender dysphoria because they hold some kind of philosophy. The very notion is just crazy.”
Michelle Cretella
Michelle Cretella | via YouTube
According to American Family Association: Jury allows 'real tragedy'
A Texas father has lost his fight to stop the gender transition of his son who, according to one expert, does not even have gender dysphoria.
That expert is, of course, Michelle Cretella, executive director of American College of Pediatricians — a tiny hate group based in Gainesville, Florida.
Though Younger disputes the information, a jury in Dallas has prevented the father from having sole custody. That means James' mother – a pediatrician – can give the child hormone replacement therapy.

Even a Texas jury was able to see straight through Jeff Younger

I have received a fair amount of hate mail over this case.
As you may already know, a Dallas jury awarded sole custody of Luna, a trans girl, to her mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, a local pediatrician. Texas is the only state in the country to permit custody jury trials. In all other states family court judges make these decisions with the assistance of social workers and other experts.

Dr. Georgulas' former husband, Jeffrey Younger was seeking sole custody in order to reverse the child's social transition. The Christian right has generated a considerable amount of national attention to this case. In contrast, up to now, I have only reacted to the anti-trans religious batshit.

Brian S. Brown provides an opportunity to explain Preferred Pronouns

To leave no transphobic stone unturned.
Brian S. Brown has conjured up 1,001 feeble and pretextual reasons for people to donate money to National Organization for Marriage. Wednesday, we entertain yet another. Brown's latest email is titled: Presidential Pronoun Contest.

While I am loathe to interrupt the exchange of such brilliant ideas, a word or two about pronouns is in order.

A very small percentage of the population is transgender. They have every right to expect — as a matter of common courtesy — to be addressed with gender-correct pronouns. Refusing to do so — usually as a means of expressing religious disapproval — is petty and boorish.

Not as dumb as Mad Mat Staver but Horatio Mihet is no genius

Horatio Mihet
Hate group Liberty Counsel's Horatio "Harry" Mihet
via YouTube
Mad Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel) has a post regarding just how terribly unfair the judge has been in the Planned Parenthood vs. David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt trial. Staver claims that “the deck is stacked.” Included is some commentary from Horatio “Harry” Mihet:
AND, even worse, Planned Parenthood is allowed to tell the jury that the videos were "deceptively" or "misleadingly" "EDITED" to provoke outrage against PP. BUT WE ARE PROHIBITED FROM PLAYING THE VIDEOS TO SHOW THAT THIS IS A LIE.

Hate group leader asserts that we are "targeting young children"

Tony Perkins
via Family Research Council
The only explanation for Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) is that he is a diehard bigot. This should come as no surprise given that Perkins has direct ties to the Ku Klux Klan. What makes Perkins especially pernicious (and obnoxious) is his inflammatory rhetoric in pursuit of donations. Some of that money goes directly to Perkins who was paid $250,000 in 2017 and probably more the following year.

Tuesday, Perkins has sent out an email blast titled: The radical Left is targeting young children with your tax dollars. We must push back! Pushing back is defined as sending FRC some money.

Insulting Abuse as Christian Privilege

Michael Ross
via Alliance Defending Freedom
Michael Ross is a lawyer with Alliance Defending Freedom. At Vanderbilt Law (2016 graduate) Ross was president of the Christian Legal Society. Ross also writes for the Washington Examiner every now and then. Monday's spew bore the headline: Hypocrisy: College administrators celebrate ‘diversity’ but punish professors who dissent. The word diversity in quotes is a tell. It unfailingly refers to the acceptance or rejection of LGBTQ people.

Ross' headline is the equivalent of “College administrators support integration but punish professors who dissent.” Dissent refers to holding opinions at variance from others. However, not all dissent is legitimate or even acceptable when holding those views becomes airing those views. Dissent might be even less legitimate or unacceptable when one acts on those views.

Deranged "pastor" prays at the courthouse

Stephen Broden
Batshit Pastor Stephen Broden
via YouTube
Only LifeSiteNews would provide coverage for Stephen Broden. The responsible party is Madeleine Jacob. Jacob's headline reads: Pastor on battle over 7-year-old’s ‘transition’: It’s an ‘effort to have this young boy mutilated.’ These imbeciles should really mind their own business. A seven-year-old transitions through hairstyle and apparel. She is years away from even puberty blockers.
A pastor hosted a press conference in front of the Dallas County Court Friday in support of a father who is trying to save his seven-year-old son from being “transitioned” into a girl.

Hate group explains everything that is wrong with SPLC's "Teaching Tolerance"

“If Family Research Council does not want to be treated as a hate group then they should stop behaving like a hate group.”
image via Teaching Tolerance
Family Research Council, an anti-LGBTQ hate group, has published The SPLC's Teaching Tolerance: What Parents, Teachers, and Administrators Need to Know. It is a 43 page tirade aimed at discrediting the Southern Poverty Law Center while marginalizing LGBTQ people. This is a lengthy jeremiad. I will deal with only a few paragraphs.
Family Research Council has produced this resource for parents to help identify and monitor a particular threat to our values and religious freedom: divisive identity politics in the form of radical “social justice education.” The most flagrant purveyor of partisan ideas aimed at our nation’s school children is the highly partisan and left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

Monday, Gary DeMar of American Vision offers up: An Open Letter to Kellogg’s and their Fake Anti-bullying Campaign.

DeMar has said that his organization's designation as a hate group has a significant impact on revenues. DeMar has been relatively reserved over the last couple of years regarding LGBTQ people. Perhaps he has been staid in order to appeal to the SPLC, That rubber band has snapped.

DeMar has penned an anti-LGBTQ diatribe. It ends up claiming that Donald Trump is being bullied. Rand Paul too. That is relatively harmless, intellectually dishonest gibberish. However, much of the tirade is bigoted and offensive.

Scam Alert: Possible Phony Fundraising for Conversion Therapy

Scam Alert
Arthur Abba Goldberg is reportedly back in court. Although it looks like a fundraising scam is being orchestrated. First the requisite history.

Arthur Abba Goldberg was one of the principals of Jews Offering New Alternatives to Homosexuality (sometimes referred to as Jews Offering New Alternative Healing). JONAH — a conversion therapy operator — was founded by Arthur and Jane Goldberg with Theodore and Elaine Berk.

Both couples had gay sons. Both couples still have gay sons. With assistance from the Southern Poverty Law Center, former clients of JONAH put it out of business when a New Jersey jury found it guilty of consumer fraud.

Focus on the Family wants trans kids to cease to exist

via YouTube
Family Policy Alliance (FPA) is the lobbying arm of Focus on the Family. It is located at the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs. The operation is headed by Paul Weber who used to be with Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-LGBTQ hate group. FPA is increasingly obscuring the link to Focus on the Family.

On Thursday, FPA is claiming that transgender youth are part of A Sexual Agenda That Is Both Dangerous and Damaging.

Trans youth are driving fundamentalist Christians over a cliff. This particular expression of transphobia was written by Shawn Hyland who is with Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey. Joining in the fun is Len Deo. Family Policy Alliance of New Jersey doesn't really exist as a separate entity. At least not according to the State of New Jersey and it is not a 501(c)3.

No AFA - A 7-year-old is not being considered for gender confirmation surgery

American Family Association joins Mad Mat Staver for a round of anti-trans merriment.
American Family Association continues to prove that it deserves its designation, by the Southern Poverty Law Center, as an anti-LGBTQ hate group. The headline on its phony news blog reads: Parents fight over son's sex-reassignment surgery. AFA's Chris Woodward is referring to a seven-year-old! You would think that common sense might permit Woodward to emerge from his state of perpetual stupidity.

The hyperbolic text does not improve things for Mr. Woodward:
The trial is continuing this week in Dallas, Texas, over the chemical castration and sex change of a seven-year-old boy – a controversial procedure argued as beneficial by LGBTQ activists.

Brian S. Brown Feigns Paranoia and Then Lies Through His Teeth

“Transgendered” is about as cogent as Catholicked.
Brian S. Brown
Brian S. Brown is becoming more deceitful by the day. His latest missive, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage, is titled They're coming after us.... It includes this bit of sophistry (which is a nice way of describing bullshit):

Glenn T. Stanton Attempts to Explain Why Gender and Sex are the Same Thing

Mazel tov with that pursuit.
Glenn T. Stanton
The average vibrator makes more sense than Glenn T. Stanton
via YouTube
Glenn T. Stanton (Focus on the Family) has written: Why Sex And Gender Are Not Two Different Things. The subtitle of this brilliant intellectual exploration reads:
It cannot be stated strongly enough. There is no, not one, not even a wisp of a scientific discovery that requires we now understand sex and gender as two different things.
Mr. Stanton is a scientific poseur. The truth is that he disapproves of transgender people. He does so because the existence of transgender people creates a conflict with scripture; specifically Genesis 1:27. Were sex and gender the same thing there would be no such thing as gender dysphoria. In the absence of gender dysphoria, there would be no transgender people since they exist to mitigate the misery that the condition causes.

Armstrong Williams explains the "Deep State" - Compares Trump to MLK

Armstrong Williams
Armstrong Williams is an untethered Trump apologist
via YouTube
Armstrong williams is an audacious individual. Williams is a profoundly — and openly — homophobic man. Yet, in some gay circles, he is known as Strongarm Williams. On at least two occasions Williams has been sued by young men accusing Williams of sexual harassment. The 1997 suit was settled out of court, allegedly when the accuser presented affidavits from other young men. Similarly, the 2016 suit was settled out of court.

Williams has been carrying an excuse bag for Donald Trump since Trump's 2016 campaign. Williams is still at it because, as an allied conservative African-American media personality, Williams has a significant economic interest in convincing people that Trump is not only a wonderful human being but a victim of godless liberals. Conservatives adore victims — real or imagined.

The Wonderful Enlightened Wildmon Family

Walker Wildmon
On Sunday, Walker Wildmon penned Duly elected president deserves decency for The Daily Journal in Tupelo, MS. Walker Wildmon is a vice president of American Family Association.

American Family Association — an anti-LGBTQ hate group in Tupelo — was founded by Don Wildmon. The elder Wildmon is homophobic, transphobic and anti-Semitic. The old douchebag (he is 81) detests gay people. Don Wildmon stepped down in March, 2010 but he is still on the payroll. I will give him shrewd but Don Wildmon is not very intelligent.

Leadership of American Family Association passed to Don's son, Tim Wildmon. Until then, Tim occupied his time organizing tours of Israel for the faithful. Tim is not shrewd and he is less intelligent than his father. Waiting in the wings are Tim's sons, Wesley Wildmon and Walker Wildmon. Neither of them seem capable of using a can opener without adult supervision. Many other Wildmons are at AFA's taxpayer subsidized trough.

I rarely do this but I was moved by the description and appalled by the homophobia:

LGBTQ Students

David — Mason wants to start a Gay-Straight Alliance club at his high school in rural Georgia. He says that students are being bullied for being different, and Mason is hoping that a new club will provide a supportive and safe space for LGBTQ kids. But another student at the school has started a rival petition, "don’t let homosexuality be pushed on students in Fannin County." Add your name to support students like Mason who are working to make all kids feel safe and welcome.

Christian minister has experience with copy machines controlled by demons

This goes under the category: People actually believe this shit?
Isn't it strange that believers get possessed by demons
but atheists never do.
I see stuff like this and I need not wonder why we are so dysfunctional. We have a crazy president who is a sociopath and a pathological liar. One branch of Congress is controlled by people whose allegiance is to the National Rifle Association and the Christian right. Trump's cabinet is best described as a collection of mediocracy. But I digress.

Kendra Semmen writes: Prophetic Minister Who Can See Demons Warns Against Christians Celebrating Halloween.
From hearing music and copy machines that weren't being controlled by people, to her children seeing and hearing demons in their bedrooms, prophetic minister Kathy DeGraw opens up about times both she and her children have encountered demons. It was almost like she and her family were chosen for deliverance ministry—DeGraw has since been very active in spreading the word about the realities of the supernatural realm.

People should send money to NOM because of Beto O'Rourke

Brian S. Brown
According to Brian S. Brown, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage:
In a desperate attempt to save his laughable campaign for the Democratic nomination, Beto O'Rourke placed a bet on the anti-religious bigotry increasingly prevalent on the Left, when speaking at a recent CNN Town Hall.

O'Rourke said he would remove tax-exempt status from any Church, charity, Christian school, or other institution that opposes same-sex 'marriage.'

Beto O'Rourke is well intentioned but disappointing

For the sake of argument let's stipulate that the whistleblower is Hillary Clinton's beloved nephew

We have a president who does not respect his office and politicians who do not respect our intelligence.
Tom Cotton

Let's further stipulate that all of the information in the complaint was gathered from scribbling on toilet stalls. None of that makes the slightest difference. What we are witnessing is dishonest political theater.

Thursday, two posts at the Heritage Foundation's blog captured my attention. The first of these is titled: Sen. Tom Cotton Unloads on Intelligence Community IG Over ‘Evasive’ and ‘Obstructive’ Testimony About Trump Whistleblower. Senator Cotton is part of the Cashew Caucus. The text from GianCarlo Canaparo (???) goes on to say:

Competition: Who can write the most moronic anti-LGBTQ piece for the Federalist?

According to Nathanael Blake: U.K. Court Decision Affirms Transgenderism Is A Religion Of Complete Self-Worship. No. Uh-uh. Blake is claiming that transgender people are adherents to some sort of religion comprised of self-worship. That leads me to Blake's subtitle:
Catholicism preaches the real presence of Christ veiled in the bread and wine; transgenderism professes the real presence of the woman veiled in the male body.
There are several logical fallacies in that single sentence. These include an appeal to heaven, an a priori argument and biologizing. It is simpler to call it bullshit and to question how Catholic dogma has any relationship to a medical condition.

Three committees of the USCCB—the Committee for Religious Liberty, the Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development, and the Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage—have issued a strong statement on three cases before the U.S. Supreme Court on the rights of homosexual and transgender persons.

At issue is whether Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act applies to such persons in the workplace. The bishops make the case that this law does not apply. They are right.

Supreme Court: Tuesday's arguments and the process that will follow

Conservative Justice Neil Gorsuch could be the deciding vote in three cases heard by the Supreme Court Tuesday. Two of the cases involve individuals who were fired from their jobs when it became known that they are gay. A third case involves a transgender woman who was fired when she transitioned.
In today's oral arguments at the Supreme Court, Justice Gorsuch indicated that a literal ruling of the text of Title VII could include sexual orientation and gender identity. Textual literalism might overrule original intent. On the other hand, Gorsuch also questioned whether this matter, because of its impact, should be addressed by Congress. Could he be the swing vote in these cases?

Only Neil Gorsuch can answer that question. Observers believe that the four more liberal justice are inclined to vote in favor of protecting LGBTQ people from workplace discrimination.

There is a process to be followed first.

The Tampa conversion therapy ruling is probably not what you think

None of the First Amendment issues (speech and religion) are elements of the ruling in this case.
As you are all probably aware, in Vazzo v. City of Tampa, a U.S. district court judge struck down Tampa's ordinance prohibiting pediatric conversion therapy. While I disagree with the verdict it is important to recognize that Judge William F. Jung is considered to be an extraordinarily capable jurist.

Judge Jung was nominated by George W. Bush and President Obama with no action taken by the Senate. He was then nominated by Trump. Jung is a very smart guy and he is not an ideologue.

Jung's ruling in this case was based on preemption; the idea that healthcare is the exclusive province of the State of Florida. Jung makes the point that Tampa's ordinance potentially affects providers throughout the state.

About what I expected from NOM

Click-to-donate from NOM's email
The text of Brian S. Brown's missive on behalf of National Organization for Marriage reads:
Tomorrow morning, the US Supreme Court will hear oral argument in three critical cases where LGBT activists are seeking to redefine the term "sex" under federal law to include "sexual orientation" and "gender identity." The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) has filed an important legal brief in these cases.

This is a hugely important legal battle because if gay activists prevail, they will succeed in imposing major elements of their extreme agenda on the American people, especially people of faith.

Cretella and others are in divine ignorance over Lupron

“Real harm to children occurs when proper medical treatment is withheld in order to conform to religious dogma.”
Michelle Cretella
Michelle Cretella is again on a tear over puberty blockers. Cretella would have people believe that she is concerned for the welfare of children. Cretella's only concern is defending the teachings of the Catholic Church. The Church is in a frenzy over transgender people because their existence creates a conflict with scripture. Medical science be damned.

Michelle Cretella is the executive director of a small Florida hate group, the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds). The real professional association is the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). A post at the blog of American Family Association, another anti-LGBTQ hate group, is titled: Puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones -- what's the harm?

Ryan T. Anderson is still at the same old same old

“Anderson and the Catholic Church lost on marriage equality. Eventually they will lose on nondiscrimination protections. They will lose because of a basic contradiction: The self-righteous moralists want to preserve indecency.”
Ryan T. Anderson
via YouTube
Wednesday, at the blog of ultra-orthodox Catholic Witherspoon Institute, Ryan T. Anderson writes: Sex at the High Court: On the Redefinition of “Sex” in Civil Rights Law and Faulty Accounts of “Discrimination.” Anderson is upset at the prospect that the Supreme Court might recognize the rights of gay and transgender people not to be fired from their jobs because of their sexuality.

Anderson's reasoning is tortured because the underlying cause of his dread has little do with with reasoned public policy or jurisprudence. Anderson is a fundamentalist Catholic adherent. The Church pretends that transgender people do not exist and that gay people are sick; “objectively disordered.”

With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom (an anti-LGBTQ hate group), French teach, Peter Vlaming, is suing his former employer, the West Point (Virginia) School Board. Vlaming was suspended nearly a year ago and ultimately terminated for refusing to comply with school district policies requiring the use of gender-correct pronouns.

I wrote about Peter Vlaming in December, 2018. Vlaming was a 47-year-old French teacher at West Point High School in Virginia. By all accounts, Vlaming was an effective and well-liked. Vlaming steadfastly refused to use gender correct pronouns with a trans boy in his class.

Dishonest anti-gay vomit from Fr. D. Paul Sullins

D. Paul Sullins

Monday, Father D. Paul Sullins — who is now affiliated with Ruth Institute, an anti-LGBTQ hate group — offers: “Born That Way” No More: The New Science of Sexual Orientation. Sullins is trying to prove that gay people are gay by choice. It would then follow that sexual orientation is not immutable and, thus, gay people are not entitled to nondiscrimination protections.

The faithful might believe Sullins' nonsense. Critical thinkers will not. The outlet for this treatise is Witherspoon Institute's pretentious blog.

From time-to-time Sullins publishes his bigotry to pay-to-post journals with cursory peer-review. Recently he published to a journal based in Egypt. His judgmental nonsense would never survive the referee process at a reputable academic journal.

Hate group has a non-petition petition and a call to prayer

Donald Trump
American Family Association is asking people to make a prayer commitment; praying for Donald Trump.
Our nation seems to be unraveling in hatred...

Like every patriotic American, I am saddened by the chaos, anger, and division in Washington. I am also outraged by the SECULAR Left's unending assaults against the founding principles of our republic.

Just as evil are those in the media who have become deceivers and backbiters because they no longer report truth based on facts. Liberal journalists and news show anchors are no longer trustworthy because they are nothing more than mouthpieces for "fake news" outlets.

The only thing stupider than this archdiocese is DOJ's Civil Rights Division

On Friday, the United States Department of Justice submitted a Statement of Interest in the matter of Joshua Payne-Elliot v. Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis. I wrote about this case last July. There you can read JPE's complaint filed in Indiana Commercial Court.

In sum, JPE has been employed by Cathedral High School in Indianapolis for 13 years. JPE had a valid employment contract as a “World Language Teacher-Master” with Cathedral High School in Indianapolis through the 2019-2020 academic year. JPE has been married to a man for over two years. JPE is a highly regarded professional with excellent performance reviews.
