When it Suits Them, Trans Men are Men

Another genius weighs in on Bostock v. Clayton County.
Margot Cleveland
Margot Cleveland | via The Federalist
All the bitching in the world is not going to change the Supreme Court's ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County. But they are sure going to try to alter the outcome. According to Margot Cleveland: LGBT Lawyers Already Using Supreme Court Ruling To Demand Hysterectomies For Men.
What Lambda portrays as discrimination based on gender identity is not sex discrimination under the reasoning of Bostock.
Cleveland, who is a lawyer, is also a professional Catholic which means that she does not believe that transgender people really exist (according to Church teachings). Cleveland was admitted to the bar in 1992 recently moved to Michigan. I can find no record of her appearance in any federal case. She was a career law clerk.

Presumably “hysterectomies for men” refers to a medical procedure for transgender men who have female genitalia. I always ask the same question: Why is it essential for medical practitioners to be able to discriminate against transgender people?

David Lane: "The end of civilization as we’ve known it" - Oh my!

“David Lane's amalgamation of political and religious doctrines creates an intellectually dishonest goop. Lane ignores or falsifies conformity of mutually exclusive aspects of the two constructs.”
David Lane
via The Brody File
Christian nationalist and Republican operative David Lane is pitching a fit. Aside from recent Supreme Court decisions upholding Roe v. Wade and protecting LGBTQ people from employment discrimination, he is probably coming to the reality that Trump might lose in November. One can barely imagine Lane's gastric reflux if the Senate flips to Democratic control.

Why should we care about what David Lane is promoting? The answer to that is simple. Lane is extremely influential in conservative Christian circles and conservative Christians are extremely influential in Republican platforming.

Lane squeezes the trigger of a starting gun and BS squirts out:
At some time in the late 19th century the American culture was hijacked by atheistic secularism. The “One Nation under God” that the Founders cultivated throughout the 17th and 18th centuries had been designed to develop and evolve liberty under Biblically based conditions. The prevailing attitudes, standards, and “environmental” conditions were to be guided and guarded by virtue, the key component of liberty, embedded by the Founders in the woof and warp of the Judeo-Christian culture.
“One nation under God” was not part of the pledge of allegiance until 1948.

It Took Some Doing but The Federalist Managed to Offer the Most Idiotic Response to the Bostock Ruling

Jacob Roth
Jacob Roth - What's with all the booze?
via YouTube
Monday, per The Federalist: Gorsuch’s Ruling Demands Employers Allow Sexual Harassment which is subtitled:
What many commentators have missed is that the Bostock opinion provides the basis for the argument that single-sex bathrooms and locker rooms violate Title VII.
The author of this stupidity is Jacob Roth who claims to be a lawyer (JD, UVa). Mr. Roth does not have a record at Martindale.com nor does he appear as counsel on any federal docket. Roth is wrong on both counts. Sexual harassment is still prohibited and sexually segregated facilities continue not to violate Title VII.

Hate Group Meets Climate Crackpot

According to American Family Association's climate “expert,” cigarette smoking increases the likelihood of surviving COVID-19.
Steven Milloy
Big Tobacco and Big Oil stooge, Steven Milloy, has been called a liar for hire.
via YouTube
American Family Association does not like Amazon.com. Monday, they attempt to attack Amazon for its responsible policies affecting climate. AFA hacks go out of their way to criticize Amazon.com at every opportunity. On Monday, AFA's mullahs are pissed off over: Amazon Secures Naming Rights to Future Home of Seattle’s New NHL Franchise, and Calls It Climate Pledge Arena.

AFA's enmity is based upon three facts:
  1. American Family Association is an anti-LGBTQ hate group.
  2. Amazon is a champion of sexual diversity among employees and customers.
  3. Climate denial is an article of faith among conservative Christians. End times are near anyway. God made the climate whatever it is and so on, ad nauseum.

Donating Money to NOM Will Have No Effect on the Equality Act

“Brown is throwing shit against the wall hoping that some of it will stick.”
Brian S. Brown
Brian S. Brown is grifting again
Friday, Brian S. Brown has his grubby hands in people's pockets again. The email is titled: "equality act" push is on. It's all BS designed to put people's money into the coffers of National Organization for Marriage.
  1. Mitch McConnell is not going to allow the Equality Act to come to the floor for debate.
  2. Even if, somehow, McConnell did allow the measure to be debated we do not have the votes.
  3. Even if we had the votes, Trump would veto the bill as he has promised.
  4. We sure as hell do not have the votes to override a veto.

Hateful Focus Affiliate OBSESSED With Trans Youth

Family Policy Alliance, the political arm of Focus on the Family, has published 13 anti-transgender blog posts in just the last eight days. Is this some kind of hate group audition?

All of the posts deal with a manufactured crisis: Transgender girls competing in high school athletics. Not one of the posts offers any reasonable solution to the supposed dilemma. That is because they do not want to solve their problem.
This has little or nothing to do with athletics
These religious extremists are not entirely pant-on-fire liars. The lunatic fringe believe their own bullshit.

Family Policy Alliance is using athletics as a means of attacking transgender people. They are attacking trans youth because the very existence of transgender people creates a conflict with their literalist interpretation of scripture.

Witherspoon Polemicist: Civil Rights Have Been Co-Opted by Reproductive and LGBTQ Rights

Louis Brown is using the George Floyd protests to promote the Catholic Church's anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ doctrines.
Louis Brown
Louis Brown is trying to drive that proverbial wedge between the African-American and LGBTQ communities.
via Christ Medicus Foundation
Louis Brown is the executive director of a small Catholic nonprofit; Christ Medicus Foundation. Thursday at the pseudo-intellectual blog of Witherspoon Institute Mr. Brown provides: A New Birth for American Civil Rights. His title is deceptive as is the subheading:
Christians are called not only to pray but also to act for justice, because faith without works is dead. Today, we are called to give new birth to the civil rights movement, to finally fulfill the promise of the American civil rights project for which so many fought and died.
Before I get into this in more detail, the NAACP and other African-American civil rights organizations have given full-throated support to LGBTQ equality which included lobbying in favor of marriage equality. NAACP's amicus brief in Obergefell v. Hodges is truly a masterpiece for directly comparing the quest for marriage equality to the issues in Loving v. Virginia.

Rep. Doug Lamborn and AFA - Bigots Made for Each Other

Rep. Lamborn's IQ is “below that of the insertion point of an enema tube.”
Doug Lamborn
Doug Lamborn does not appreciate the gross hypocrisy of proudly displaying a Confederate flag while bitching about images on PBS.
via Doug Lamborn's congressional campaign
Thursday, an email from the anti-LGBTQ hate group, American Family Association, is once again promoting the efforts of Rep. Doug Lamborn to defund PBS. The latest paroxysm is over the PBS series Prideland (“See how LGBTQ Americans are finding ways to live authentically in the modern South.”). “Woe is us!”

A year ago, to the day, I wrote about Congressman Doug Lamborn who represents Colorado's Fifth Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2019, Lamborn was pitching a fit: PBS Is Indoctrinating Our Kids. It’s Time to Defund Them.

Lamborn, whose IQ is below that of the insertion point of an enema tube, was terribly distressed that a popular children's show, Arthur, included the marriage of Mr. Ratburn to another male rat. What is the world coming to? Never mind that Lamborn's home state of Colorado had recognized same-sex marriages since October, 2014 and no one has died as a result.

Catholic Relief Services Doesn't Have a Right to Engage in Employment Discrimination

CRS' CEO knew that there was a legal liability for discrimination and she clearly knew the legal difference between a ministerial and non-ministerial employee.
Generic Catholic Church
via NBC4/Washington
A pseudonymous employee of Catholic Relief Services has filed a complaint in United States District Court for the District of Maryland alleging that Catholic Relief Services has engaged in prohibited employment discrimination. The complaint was filed on June 12 which was three days prior to the Supreme Court's ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County.

According to the narrative:

John Doe was recruited and subsequently hired in mid-2016 by Catholic Relief Services for what is apparently a tech support position. Doe's acceptance of CRS' offer was conditioned upon his husband being covered under the group insurance program. A CRS executive said that he would be covered.

Ah Yes - The Vast Knowledge of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations

Dr. Jeffrey Barrows
OB/Gyn Dr. Jeffrey Barrows presumes to have
expertise regarding gender dysphoria.
via CMDA
According to a press release that the Christian Medical & Dental Associations paid for at Christian Newswire: Freedom of Speech Censorship by YouTube.

Freedom of Speech is guaranteed in the First Amendment but it is limited to government actors. YouTube is wholly owned by Google which is owned by Alphabet. As a private company YouTube has the right to decide what content is acceptable on their platform. Freedom of Speech is not applicable.
Freedom of speech, or only freedom of speech when YouTube agrees with you? Today, Christian Medical & Dental Associations … sent a letter … to YouTube addressing a video they censored purportedly because it constituted "hate speech." The video was a panel discussion that featured Walt Heyer, who formerly identified as transgender, who said, "This is a childhood development disorder," in reference to gender dysphoria in children. He described the irreversible consequences of experimental hormones and surgeries for treating gender dysphoria in children.

Why is Amazon.com the Seller of Factually-Challenged Transphobic Trash?

Abigail Shrier
Abigail Shrier is a lawyer peddling bad medical advice
via Twitter
I have tremendous respect for Amazon.com's commitment to diversity. It is a core part of their corporate culture. I have to wonder why Amazon has chosen to vend Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters which is to be released on June 30.

It is not Amazon's job to be the arbiter of literary decency but there are lines that should not be crossed. I doubt that Amazon would sell a book by a Neo-Nazi or Klansman. The problem is that Amazon thinks, in this case, that transphobia does not rise to the level of anti-Semitism and racism.

The book in question was written by Abigail Shrier, a lawyer.

Joseph R. Murray, II presumes to speak for LGBTrump. Murray is quoted in Metro Weekly as opposing the recent Supreme Court ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County. The Court held that protections from employment discrimination based on sex applied to gender identity and sexual orientation.

LGBTrump may, or may not, actually exist as anything other than Mr. Murray's hobby. Murray apparently told Metro Weekly's Rhuaridh Marr that LGBTrump is the successor to Gays for Trump. Not unless there are two of them. Gays for Trump is a separate dysfunction founded by Peter Boykin who is anti-trans.

So exactly who is Joseph R. Murray, II?

Another Little Chat With His Deity

People who claim to have discussions with their god are always suspect. This time it is Joe Joe Dawson. Come to think of it, someone named “Joe Joe” deserves some scrutiny.

Dawson is the leader of Joe Joe Dawson Ministries in Texarkana, TX. God has not provided guidance to Dawson or his account on how to properly fill out an annual report to the IRS, Form 990. No, I am not going to transmit a referral to the Service for an organization that grosses less than $100K/year.

Oh yeah, the chat:
… as soon as the Lord spoke this to me, I began to weep. I wept, laughed, and prayed under the power of God for quite some time. Then God spoke to me and said, “This is bigger than anyone ever dreamed.”

Polish Pres Makes Idiotic Statement - LifeSiteNews Applauds

LifeSiteNews will repeat any anti-LGBTQ statement no matter how moronic.
Andrzej Duda
Anti-LGBTQ Polish President Andrzej Duda
via The Atlantic
Friday afternoon, LifeSiteNews offered: Polish President: LGBT ideology is ‘more destructive’ than communism. It is abundantly clear that LifeSiteNews agrees with Polish President Andrzej Duda irrespective of his obviously vapid stupidity.

We begin with an effort to understand the reasoning for such a statement. Neither ridicule nor approval have any effect on how many people are either gay or transgender. That's pretty much a function of the genetic lottery. Then of course there is the idea that sexual orientation and gender identity depict adherence to an ideology.

Finally, if we decode this to understandable speech, what Duda is saying is that just the existence of LGBTQ people is destructive. We know why Duda is doing this (I'll get to that in a moment). What we do not know is why LifeSiteNews is part of Duda's cheering section.

Heritage Pres Sees Hate Groups as Victims

Heritage Foundation president Kay Coles James is carrying water for two hate groups out of political expediency.
Kay Coles James
Kay Coles James is a Trump supporter. Not seeing Trump as a racist is a belief of political convenience.
via YouTube
Kay Coles James, president of Heritage Foundation, is an African-American woman. She should know a thing or two about hate. Apparently she hasn't the vaguest clue.

Ms. James took to the disreputable Washington Times (which exists to advocate for the “Moonie” cult and white nationalism) to complain about Amazon's policy of excluding hate groups from the Amazon Smile Program. Heritage Foundation is not listed as a hate group but perhaps it should be.

After all, the Heritage Foundation employs Ryan T. Anderson, a bigot who smears LGBTQ people every single day. Anderson's lies, as a Heritage spokesperson, add to a climate of fear, ignorance and intolerance; particularly towards transgender people. Anderson routinely attacks children because they have a medical condition. Ryan T. Anderson's behavior is unacceptable in polite society.

Heritage Foundation in a Tizzy That YouTube Won't Allow Them to Promote Transphobia

Walt Heyer
Who could possibly think that Walt Heyer is
not an expert on pediatric gender dysphoria?
via YouTube
According to Robert Bluey, the editor of Heritage Foundation's blog: “YouTube Weaponizes ‘Hate Speech’ Policy to Censor Heritage Foundation Video.” I am about as tired of “weaponize” as I am of “woke” and a dozen or so other words used to convey right wing rhetoric.

Mr. Bluey “explains:”
On Oct. 9, Walt Heyer took the stage at a Heritage Foundation event called the Summit on Protecting Children from Sexualization. His powerful testimony captivated the audience. It was so powerful, in fact, that YouTube, a subsidiary of Google, is now censoring his words.
Walt Heyer makes a living promoting transphobia by claiming that his gender confirmation surgery was a mistake. The con job takes the form: It was wrong for me so it must be wrong for everyone. That is despite the fact that he had the surgery nearly 40 years ago and in midlife and that he is a religious zealot and that he is batshit crazy.

AFA: "A personal note from Tim"

“… if the deity has supposedly unleashed all manner of natural disasters in the wake of marriage equality then surely it has the power to have prevented the Supreme Court from ruling that workplace discrimination is unacceptable.”
Tim Wildmon
Clueless Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon, American Family Association
via RightWingWatch
Friday, that personal note is an email from Hate Group Leader Tim Wildmon of American Family Association. You can be certain that Tim is not apologizing for his rabid anti-LGBTQ bigotry. However, I want to thank the Idiot Son for providing such sound reasoning for changing the composition of the United States Senate in November.
Three U.S. senators blocked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Equality Act (H.R.5) from garnering unanimous consent and advancing for a floor vote. Thank you to those of you who received the AFA alert and contacted your senators and urged them to oppose the bill. America has a representative government and your voice of truth and reason made a difference.
What could possibly be more undemocratic than blocking just the discussion of legislation? What threat exists in debating whether or not LGBTQ people should be protected from discrimination in housing and public accommodations now that workplace discrimination is resolved?

What Do YOU Think Trump Means When He Refers to "Thugs?"

Donald Trump
Juneteenth. According to a a campaign email signed by Donald Trump (capitalization per original):
Radical Democrats actually SUED to stop my re-election campaign’s Trump MAGA Rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday.

First, they support tens of thousands of ANTIFA THUGS DESTROYING our communities. And now, they try to COVID-SHAME us for holding rallies at only a fraction of the people?
Let's untangle that BS. A group of local lawyers did, in fact, go to court in regards to Trump's Tulsa rally. What they were trying to do was to get organizers to adhere to the administration's own recommendations for social distancing. You can be sure that many MAGA-bot attendees subscribe to the preposterous idea that not wearing a facial mask makes a political statement.

Brian S. Brown's Flunkey Disapproves of Pride Month and LGBTQ People in General

“Mr. Grabowski is terribly distressed due to the absence of critical thinking …”
Joseph Grabowski
via International Organization for the Family
Joseph Grabowski is Brian S. Brown's Igor. Thursday, at the blog of the hate group, International Organization for the Family, Mr. Grabowski explained all that is wrong with our society. LGBTQ people are a big part of Grabowski's problem.

Grabowski attempts to discredit Pride Month. It is a sophomoric enterprise because Pride Month would not need to exist were it not for religiously-inspired bigots who want to conform reality to scripture:
For anyone who has missed the memo, the month of June is “Pride Month.” Of course, in 2020, the phrase “missed the memo” here is more than an idiomatic expression; in many cases it can be taken quite literally. We live in an age when it is now standard practice for many companies to issue a memo to employees describing not only how the corporation will be marking “Pride Month,” but also loaded with tips and ideas for how employees can (and may be frankly expected to) mark the occasion in their own lives and in their homes.

Blowhard Bill Donohue - Public Policy Expert

Numerous conservative Christians are demonstrating their determination to discriminate against people they disapprove of — all neatly cloaked in religion.
Bill Donohue
It is not my custom to read Breitbart. Yet, one of Thursday's headlines reads: Catholic League: Bostock Is ‘Classic Case of Judicial Overreach.’ The author of the incoherent gibberish is Thomas D. Williams.

Before I get into this, if Mr. Donohue wants to weigh in on the law then he should follow the law. Catholic League has still not filed its 2018 tax return, seven months beyond when the last extension expired. Donohue never filed a return for 2016. It's not optional. Presumably, Donohue wants to hide excessive compensation. But I digress.

The Bostock decision should not have been necessary in the first place. Bigots like Bill Donohue made it necessary through their discrimination or promotion of discrimination.

I Have Run Out of Synonyms for Deceit

What these sanctimonious hypocrites should do is to get on their knees and pray for forgiveness for their willful ignorance and bigotry.
Greg Burt circa 2018
via Fox/YouTube
Dishonest, deceitful, mendacious, equivocation, fraudulent, untruthful, whatever. The holier-than-thou set has little problem lying through their teeth. Apparently, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor” has a literal meaning. It only applies to the folks living directly on the other side of one's property line.

According to American Family Association: Both parties silently supporting dangerous proposal. The subtitle reads:
A family advocate is concerned that the California Legislature is moving forward with a bill that would use taxpayer money for surgeries that would permanently destroy the patients' ability to have children.

Meshuggah Steven Andrew: "God: The Supreme Court is Breaking the Law"

Steven Andrew
Tell me this guy is not a fucking upside-down fruitcake
"The Supreme Judge says the Supreme Court is breaking God's law and violating the Constitution by attempting to redefine sex in a Title VII opinion on Monday," said Rev. Steven Andrew. He calls Christians and churches to stand up for God by praying daily for a covenant Christian nation government to immediately replace all representatives/judges rebelling against God [blah, blah, blah] homosexual [blah, blah, blah] homosexual …

Dr. Michael Brown's Scripture Dysphoria Impairment

Dr. Michael Brown
It is unfortunate for Michael Brown that he is so profoundly confused by the gender spectrum. Brown asks a few rhetorical questions:
But all the compassion in the world doesn’t change reality, and it would be worth asking some of these trans-allied stars some simple questions, including: “How, exactly do you define the terms men and women? What, after all, is a man or a woman? What constitutes being male or female? If it is not biological, then is it a state of mind? What, then, of a biological male who loves female things but still identifies as male? Is he a man? And if biology is not determinative, why does biology-altering surgery now change someone’s sex?”
That is an appeal to ignorance. Mr. Brown apparently doesn't understand the concept of scale. For about 99.5% of the population, gender and sex align. That is to say that their genitalia matches their sense of gender. Therefore, for 99.5% of the population, the terms men and women are defined by one's chromosomes.

Ryan T. Anderson, Defender of the Faith, closeted queer and Heritage Foundation staffer is displeased with the United States Supreme Court. In a Heritage Foundation press release, Anderson is quoted saying:
“The Supreme Court got it wrong. The word ‘sex’—still today and when Congress passed the Civil Rights Act in 1964—refers to our biological reality as male or female. It doesn’t refer to our sexual orientations or gender identities.

“In fact, Congress has repeatedly rejected legislation that would have added sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes in federal law. The Supreme Court has simply legislated from the bench. This is pure judicial activism.

LIfeSiteNews Weighs in With Unadulterated Anti-LGBTQ BS

LifeSiteNews lies about LGBTQ people every single day. I am talking about the real, deliberate, dishonest presentation of undisputed fact. So why should today be any different? Regarding Monday's ruling by the Supreme Court:
Conservatives warn that today’s ruling will not merely protect homosexual or gender-confused Americans from tangible harm. Rather, it will require churches to recognize same-sex “marriages”; force photographers, florists, and bakers to participate in same-sex “weddings”; compel employers to fund drugs and surgeries to help people imitate members of the opposite sex; and make women and girls to share sleeping quarters, showers, changing areas, and restrooms with gender-confused males (or men simply claiming trans status to get close to vulnerable women).

Brian S. Brown Has His Say on Today's SCOTUS Ruling

The title of Brian S. Brown's email for National Organization for Marriage reads: BREAKING NEWS: Supreme Court and Trump Administration Decisions.

Emphasis per original:
This fantastical result will come as a shock to people who have been engaged in Congressional action for decades dealing with legislative demands by LGBT extremists to enact specific legal protections covering both “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.” Countless bills have been proposed and debated to add these categories to federal anti-discrimination law. Virtually none have succeeded. The impact of today’s Supreme Court ruling is that none of these legislative battles were needed because Title VII has always prohibited actions based on "sexual orientation” and “gender identity.” What a preposterous conclusion! NOM filed an amicus brief in this case urging the exact opposite result.

A response to Chris Sevier, Rich Penkoski and Tex Christopher

As many of you already know, three anti-LGBTQ extremists are suing Mayor Muriel Bowser and the District of Columbia in federal court over the painting of “Black Lives Matter” across two blocks of 16th Street in DC. According to their incoherent complaint, Black Lives Matter is a cult aligned with the “LGBT church.”

Rich Penkoski and Tex Christopher are just idiot followers. Chris Sevier just loves all of the attention he is getting.

Rather than writing about this at length, the following is the text of my letter to the judge assigned to the case. The objective, at a minimum, is a pre-service dismissal which means that the District of Columbia would not have to file a reply brief:

via YouTube
Hate Group Leader, Mat Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel, has taken a hiatus from gay bashing while he fights for the rights of Christian parishioners to get sick, die and infect others during a pandemic. Staver returns to LGBTQ matters at the blog of another hate group, American Family Association:
After Philadelphia passed an ordinance, the city canceled contracts with faith-based agencies that deal with the best interests of the children.

"In that state, they want to force these adoption agencies to go against their Christian mission and doctrine by placing children in same-sex households," details Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel. "The religious, particularly the Catholic ones in this particular case, refused to do so."

The Religious Right's Reaction to Today's Ruling From SCOTUS

The folks at Alliance Defending Freedom and Family Research Council are not having much fun today. One can only imagine how Ryan T. Anderson has reacted. Perhaps we will know later in the day.
We begin with Alliance Defending Freedom, an anti-LGBTQ hate group. ADF's missive is titled: Breaking: You won't believe this! That, in turn, leads to a post at their blog titled: Supreme Court Delivers a Troubling Decision Against Harris Funeral Homes. Troubling for whom?

Seven long years of bullshit:
Americans should be able to rely on what the law says.

Unfortunately, it seems the U.S. Supreme Court does not agree.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled against our client Harris Funeral Homes. In doing so, the Court has delivered a truly troubling decision: Unelected officials and courts can effectively rewrite laws—forcing Americans to guess what the law means—including something as fundamental as the meaning of “sex.”

The Timing of Trump's Bigotry is No Coincidence

“When transgender people are persecuted, our entire community is persecuted.”
Donald Trump
Who is the real “enemy of the people?”
In an unconscionable appeal to religiously conservative voters the Trump administration has rolled back nondiscrimination protections for transgender people in health care. It is as if trans people do not exist. Where have we heard that before?

Roger Severino, an anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ, devoutly Catholic lawyer, is the director of the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) at HHS. Severino has been trying to limit transgender rights for years in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Donald Trump doesn't give a rat's ass one way or the other about the plight of transgender citizens. He has been chipping away at their very dignity for years to appease religious conservatives. Gender-diverse people do not matter to Trump. Getting reelected is the only thing that matters to Trump.

"Ex-gay" Polemicist Claims There is a "Global Transgender Youth Pandemic"

Another unqualified religious crackpot attempts to discredit gender affirming care.
According to Jean C. LLoyd via Witherspoon Institute's pseudo-intellectual blog: Pressing Pause on the Global Transgender Youth Pandemic. Right.

Jean C. Lloyd is a lesbian married to a gay man whom she met through the Catholic Church's Courage Ministry. I'm certain that is a marriage “made in heaven.”

Lloyd claims to hold a PhD. She has not disclosed the source or discipline of her PhD. If doing so enhanced her credibility we would know that information.

Suffice it to say that Ms. Lloyd hasn't the first clue about gender diversity. She also spouts opinions as facts:
Before Covid-19’s pernicious spread, another health phenomenon had reached epidemic proportions and is still occurring on a global level. Unlike the virus, its vulnerable population is the young—especially young girls.
Do you have any statistics to support any of the above? No stats but lots of judging others:

Her New Essay Proves That J.K. Rowling is Either Ignorant or Uncaring

Rowling should save the fiction for Harry Potter. She believes and promotes a substantial number of falsehoods about trans people.
J.K. Rowling
via Lefteris Pitarakis, Associated Press
J.K. Rowling continues to feel that she must defend some of her views regarding transgender women. In that regard she has written an essay to address the issue. Throughout this controversy, Rowling has claimed that she is an ally.

Oftentimes offensiveness is not determined by the speaker. Rather, it is the reaction of the listener that informs us. In the case of J.K. Rowling, it is up to LGBTQ people to decide if her views are bigoted. Rowling's reaction has been to write something equivalent to: “some of my best friends are trans.” Ms. Rowling isn't listening and has shown no desire to do so.

Ms. Rowling should also consider how her words are heard and used by the religious right to marginalize transgender women. According to Katrina Trinko (one of Ryan T. Anderson's acolytes at Heritage Foundation): J.K. Rowling Doubles Down, Exposes Misogyny of the Woke. No need to quote from the text but she uses the word “woke” three more times. Ugh.

Jennifer Roback Morse of Ruth Institute fame seems to think that “LGBT” is a noun rather than an adjective.

On Wednesday, by email, Morse is doing what she always does. Railing against LGBTQ people while promoting some anti-LGBTQ crackpot.

Morse is also possessed of the notion that the LGBT community has some power to squelch the anti-LGBTQ research that she likes.

Morse is referring to Walter Schumm's idiotic book which, by the way, is still for sale on Amazon.com. It is a literature review and a book is not the same as a paper published to a reputable peer-reviewed academic journal.

67% of Americans Say Trump Has Worsened Race Relations

Donald Trump
An NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll conducted last week found that 67% of respondents believe that Trump’s response to the Floyd killing has “mostly increased tensions,” versus 18% who believe it has “mostly decreased tensions” and 15% who were “unsure.”

Even among white evangelical Christians, 40% said that Trump’s response had increased tensions, while 35% said it decreased tensions, and 25% said they were unsure.

Focus Affiliate Wants to "Save Girls [sic] Sports"

Conservative Christian opposition to trans girls competing in sports has absolutely nothing to do with athletic fairness!
Family Policy Alliance, the political arm of Focus on the Family, does not approve of transgender people. FPA is using athletics as a means of attacking transgender people in general because of conflicts with scripture. What? You think they really give two shits about high school athletics?

According to Family Policy Alliance:
An Unfair Advantage

Obviously that is not
representative of
a trans girl
Female athletes deserve fair competition – and that means the chance to maintain women’s divisions distinct from co-ed or men’s categories. Men generally have higher cardiovascular capacity, greater bone density, and more muscle mass. Our girls deserve better than letting males compete in female-only competitions.

All The President's Evangelical Shills

“People like Robert Jeffress and Franklin Graham would be content with a serial killer president if he claimed that life begins with ejaculate and that gay and transgender people were making bad choices.”

On June 1, Trump enjoyed a photo-op holding an upside-down Bible in front of St. John's Church in Washington, DC. Some Christians were offended that a Bible was being used as a prop. Others were offended that, for this to take place, streets were cleared of peaceful protesters with the use of teargas.

Those were the rational Christians. Wednesday, Religion News Service reports that others have risen to defend the president:
“(Trump) walked FOR the protection of the right of peaceful protest,” Johnnie Moore, who helped organize the Trump campaign’s evangelical advisory board in 2016 and now serves as a commissioner for the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, said in an email to Religion News Service. “He walked AGAINST the violent anarchists and looters who were disrupting those peaceful protests and dishonoring the memory of George Floyd.”

Jacksonville: Mad Mat Staver Can Go Fuck Himself

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) Interim Deputy Legal Director for LGBTQ Rights & Special Litigation Scott McCoy released the following statement after the Jacksonville City Council voted to preserve its human rights ordinance that protects LGBTQ+ residents in Jacksonville from discrimination. This law mirrors the one that was passed in 2017 which was found unenforceable by the Florida First District Court of Appeals because of a technical error in its enactment after anti-LGBTQ hate group Liberty Counsel sued to invalidate the law.

“During Pride Month when we’re celebrating the diversity, creativity and resilience of LGBTQ+ communities across the country, the Jacksonville City Council has appropriately decided to preserve protections from discrimination for its LGBTQ+ residents.

Gallup: U.S. Support for Same-Sex Marriage Matches Record High

Aww | via YouTube
Quoting from Gallup:
Two in three Americans (67%) say marriages between same-sex couples should be recognized by the law as valid, matching the previous high Gallup measured in 2018. The latest figure comes just before the five-year anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling that all states must recognize same-sex marriages.
I suspect that many, if not most, of the remaining third of our citizenry are indifferent to marriage equality.

It is hard to believe that we are nearly five years since Obergefell. Some of the religious conservatives must feel (although they won't admit it) very foolish about all of the energy and money expended to prevent gay people from marrying.

New BMF - Blowhard Bill Donohue is Still a Tax Cheat

Bill Donohue
Blowhard Bill Donohue thinks that he is above the law.
Tuesday, the Internal Revenue Service issued the monthly update of the Business Master File. Bill Donohue's Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights (EIN 237279981) is now nearly seven months late in filing their required 2018 annual tax return.

This is nothing new. The Catholic League never bothered to file a 2016 federal tax return. Under current law (which needs to be changed) an organization loses tax-exempt status automatically if it fails to file three consecutive annual reports.

David Lane - Conspiracy Theorist

David Lane is insane!
David Lane
The very anti-LGBTQ David Lane offers his irrational conspiracy theories to Trump.
via The Brody File
Christian nationalist, GOP operative and all-around crackpot, David Lane, would be irrelevant were it not for his sanctimonious groupies and his influence on the GOP. Tuesday, Mr. Lane has authored an “Open Letter to Donald J. Trump.”

Lane's jeremiad is a long, tedious treatise. It is a combination of self-righteous gibberish, religious-right talking points and MAGA-bot bait.
The Deep State™ meets the New World Order™
The Deep State has worked round the clock since Donald J. Trump’s Inauguration on Friday, Jan 20, 2017. Russian Collusion, Impeachment, Ukraine, COVID‑19, and now the infernal ferment of violent commotion, pillage, and political and social agitation, antagonism and acrimony, all to achieve the objective of establishing a New World Order.
“Deep State” is a conspiracy theory holding that there is a shadow government within the government operated by career government administrators. According to the conspiracy these administrators are obsessed with undermining Donald Trump.

Political Arm of Focus on the Family is a Hate Group

Blaine Conzatti
Blaine Conzatti, anti-LGBTQ propagandist for
Family Policy Alliance
via Truthovercomes
I received an email from Blaine Conzatti on behalf of Family Policy Alliance titled: Idaho Fights to #SaveGirlsSports. You know what's coming next:
Recent polling shows that most Americans do not think males should compete in female sports. But astonishingly, men can and do compete in women’s sports in nearly every state throughout the country. Men are crowding our girls out of athletics programs designed for girls. Female athletes are losing competitions and finding themselves deprived of opportunities and scholarships. And it isn’t fair.

Of Course Brian S. Brown Weighs in on "Transgender Ideology"

Another message of hate from Brian S. Brown.
Brian Brown's latest missive, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage is titled: jk rowling is right about this. The email features “this” in an image:
Of course, the real objective is this:

Holy Crap - I Have Been Invited to Join the "Trump 100 Club"

I am so pleased to be one out of 100 in the “entire nation.”
Donald Trump
The Trump reelection campaign mirrors the inherent dishonesty of their candidate. Recently, they have been pushing a 5:1 matching contribution which would violate campaign finance laws. Two days ago there was this:
The National Review was deliberately misquoted. Campaign staffers — individuals as opposed to the campaign — donated money to The Minnesota Freedom Fund which provides bail for indigent defendants. The fund is opposed to cash bail on principle.

Wisdom on Conversion Therapy from Porno Pete, Enlightened Man

Peter LaBarbera
via GoPride Chicago
The Peter — that would be Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality — has been relatively inactive of late. However, on Friday he is expressing anxiety over the supposed desire of Jared Kushner to eliminate references to conversion therapy in the Republican platform.

Apparently Kushner wants to condense 58 pages into a pocket card. I wouldn't be that concerned Pete. Jared Kushner has not brought peace to the Middle East or accomplished much of anything.

By the way the title of this post at American Family Association's blog is Ivanka's husband pushing controversial revision to GOP platform. “Ivanka's husband?” What a strange way to refer to Kushner.

Brian S. Brown Does Not Approve of Pride Month - Shocking, I Know

Brian S. Brown
Knight Templar, Brian S. Brown
Brian S. Brown, on behalf of National Organization for Marriage, seems to get batshittier by the day. More intellectually dishonest as well.
Some things are so important, at least in the opinion of the cultural and media elites, that come rain or shine they must be acknowledged and even celebrated. Paying homage to the LGBT community during the month of June is one of those “must do” things that our woke culture demands of all Americans, or risk being named a hateful bigot if you don’t. You see, the month of June is so-called “Pride Month” and nothing – not pandemics, nor tens of millions of people being out of work, nor race riots in the streets – can be allowed to shutter the annual celebration of all things gay.

If ADF Had a Legitimate Argument There Would Be No Reason to Lie

Alliance Defending Freedom attempts to convince donors that gender identity is a choice.
I get it. Our legal system tolerates, perhaps even encourages, the hyperbolic pronouncements of lawyers.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is deemed an anti-lGBTQ hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. That designation is the product of (at least in part) the organization's penchant for lying about LGBTQ people. When they lie to attract donations that is a form of fraud. At the same time they are harming others.

A recent example arrived in my inbox on Thursday. The missive is titled: Schools deceiving parents. The appeal is reflected in the sub-heading: “ Draw the line—make your gift to protect parental rights!”

Conservative Christian blowhards have been asking the following rhetorical question since the 1925 Scopes trial in Tennessee:

"They [We] Are Targeting Your Children and Grandchildren"

Nothing says hate group like claims that gay men pose a peril to children, … along with an idiotic conspiracy theory.
Mark Jorritsma runs the North Dakota chapter of Family Policy Alliance, the political arm of Focus on the Family. Apparently Mr. Jorritsma did not notice that his name is misspelled in the signature block of his latest expression of anti-LGBTQ hate.
There is an explicit assault on your children and grandchildren. The assault is an experiment in social engineering, and not surprisingly, it’s by those opposed to life and family values. They have figured out that if they can shape young minds to their radical agenda, then advancing their agendas becomes much easier when these children grow up. They are looking at the long term, and I am sorry to say, it works.
The above is sheer projection. The self-righteous set indoctrinates children at a very young age in order that they not become critical thinkers. The objective of the indoctrination is to have kids accept, as truth, religious doctrine even when it is not supported by evidence and even when there is contradictory evidence.
